Rhiannis |

Rhiannis is delaying right after the enemies.
Afterwards: Eldritch blast on h1, Fey Step to Q8 to give Frivry combat advantage.(+gaining concealment via Shadow Walk)
Eldritch Blast vs REF;Damage with curse (1d20 3=20, 1d10 3 1d6=15)
(if the Hobgoblin drops due to the damage, Rhiannis will mot use the Fey Step and curse the next goblin in the room)

![]() |

While Rhiannis watches for an opportunity to flank the hobgoblin, the sharpshooters select a new target and attack Frivry (both hit, -19hp).
Rhiannis is delaying right after the enemies.
The order is sharpshooters, Gran, hobgoblin, everyone else. Did you want to come in now, or after the hobgoblin? Gran can go, in any case.

Gran Rey |

For a moment Gran wound glows in pale light.
Minor Action Divine Mettle 1d20+4=10.]
The pain from the poker still fresh in his mind. Gran swings wildly at hobgoblin.
[ooc]Enfeebling Strike [url=http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/1763056/ ]1d20+7-2(Due to cover)=18; Damage [url=http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/1763056/ ]1d6+4=7; -2 penalty to attack rolls.

![]() |

Through the grace of his goddess, Gran recovers from the blow and lands another strike on the hobgoblin. At this point, lines in the crevices of the hobgoblin's armor flare red and subside to a glow.
The hobgoblin manages to land another blow on Gran with the hot pokers (including the penalties! -8hp, -2 ongoing), before backing away, clearly badly wounded.
Rhiannis, you probably want to revise. Then Quinn, Frivry, Dyrnwyna

Rhiannis |

Move two squares north, blast h1 and if I hit use Misty Step to teleport back to safety(O12). Then putting a curse on the nearest goblin.
Eldritch Blast with Prime Shot,damage + curse (1d20+4=18, 1d10+3+1d6=12)

Quinn Quartzcutter |

"Haha!! Good shot Rhiannis, that'll make the bug-eyed lumps think twice!! And now's the time to take that room!"
Move Action: Move to Q9
Standard Action: Righteous Brand against h1, two-handed, 1d20+5=16 vs. AC, 1d10+6=10 dmg and Gran gets a +3 bonus against h1 for his next melee attack.
Minor Action: Healing Word on Frivry, spend a healing surge plus 7 hit points.
If Rhiannis's shot takes out h1:
Minor Action: Healing Word on Frivry, spend a healing surge plus 7 hit points.
Move Action: Move to Q6
Standard Action: Charge at g3, ending in square Q4. Use my previous roll, but the total would be 17 and Gran would not get a bonus.

![]() |

Rhiannis's blast and Quinn's axe blow both land solid hits on the hobgoblin, but with each hit the red lines in the armor flare again. He still reels slightly from the eldritch flames but the axe does not faze him at all. Frivry is out of immediate danger, thanks to Quinn's healing.
As Quinn enters the torture chamber (for such it obviously is), he sees more implements of pain, including an iron maiden standing open (T9), another table of small devices in the northeast corner, and a third goblin sharpshooter in a small barred cage in the southeast corner, the door to which stands open. On seeing Quinn, the sharpshooter lets fly and hits the cleric (-7hp).
For simplicity, I'll have g4 join the initiative of the rest of the sharpshooters on the following turn.
h1 is bloodied but has his armor doing something. The goblins are all unhurt, though g3 is cursed (as is h1). Among the PCs, Gran is bloodied.
Frivry, Dyrnwyna, then g2/g3.

![]() |

Move to R-9.
Short sword sly flourish: Attack roll, damage (1d20 7=13, 1d6 7=12)
That will draw an opportunity attack, as you can't go diagonally from Q10 to R9. Confirm?

Dyrnwyna |

Dyrnwyna racks her brains to see if she can figure out what the big ugly thing's armor is doing, but the only place she can remember seeing glowing red lines like that was in a little magical gadget that her brother built once when they were kids. It was for toasting marshmallows. She winces as she remembers the thrashing he got for getting caught with it; Eladrin live long, but their teeth rot just as fast as humans.
Breaking out of her reverie, she flings another batch of force missiles at Ugly.
Natural 1 on the arcana check to figure out what the armor is doing, for a total of 12. I figure that's probably failure. Magic missile at H1 hits reflex 14 for 8 damage

![]() |

Frivry ducks under the hobgoblin's swing of the poker to gain a better position for his next attack.
Dyrwyna's missile hits but to no more effect than previous attacks.
The sharpshooters launch their quarrels at Quinn, who falls under the assault (-23hp).
Opp attack missed due to halfling bonus.
Gran

![]() |

The hobgoblin takes another swing at Gran as the paladin moves to cover Quinn, but, still weakened from Gran's earlier blow misses. Even as Gran restores life-breath to the dwarf, he again attacks the hobgoblin. The hobgoblin's armor flares once more, then the red lines gutter and fade to black (no apparent damage, but the armor is no longer glowing).
The torturer swings his poker around again to batter Gran (-6hp), then, seeing himself nearly surrounded steps back from the fray.
Rhiannis, Quinn (prone), Frivry, Dyrnwyna

Quinn Quartzcutter |

I'm going to go ahead and post my next action. I doubt it will be interrupted by Rhiannis too much so I hope it's okay.
Quinn snorts, spits, and picks himself back off the floor. Then at the top of his lungs he shouts, "For Moradin, the Raven Queen and any other god who don't be likin' bloody goblins!!!"
With that, Quinn seems filled with renewed vigor and quickly rushes into the the nearest sharpshooter, shoulder checking him with all his weight.
Move Action: Stand up from prone.
Minor Action: Second Wind (+6hp and defenses are AC 18, Fort 15, Ref 12, and Will 18).
Standard Action: Charge to Q4 and attempt to Bull Rush g3 and push him into the fire at R2, shifting into Q3 if successful. 1d20+4=24 vs. Fort
Quinn then looks at g3 and smiles cruelly. "Please do be tryin' to shoot me one more time. Or if you'd like, give up and you won't have to join your friend." With that he hefts his heavy warhammer in both hands and waits for the goblin's next move.

Frivry |

Move to S-8.
Shord sword Sly Flourish : Attack roll, damage (1d20 6=10, 1d6 7=12)

Dyrnwyna |

![]() |

Rhiannis, seeing the hobgoblin make a target of himself, cuts loose with a blast of eldritch fire as you have not seen, destroying the creature.
Rhiannis eldritch blast on hobgoblin (1d20 3=23, 1d10 3 1d6=11)
Crit, so 19 damage. Rhiannis, where do you want to teleport?
Quinn, meanwhile, rises, shakes himself, and charges headlong into the sharpshooters, knocking one of them into the firepit, where it screams in agony it takes 10hp.
Frivry and Dyrnwyna both attack goblins, but miss.
Frivry, where would you have moved with the hobgoblin dead? Would Dyrnwyna have moved?
Then the sharpshooters will go.

Frivry |

Move to R-8 and use a short sword Sly Flourish : Ataack roll, damage (1d20 7=12, 1d6 7=9)

![]() |

Move to R-8 and use a short sword Sly Flourish : Ataack roll, damage (1d20 7=12, 1d6 7=9)
Frivry -- my fault, I hadn't removed the h1 from the map. Rhiannis killed the hobgoblin before you had your turn. Please update; I'll move along in a few hours.

![]() |

Frivry, seeing the hobgoblin fall, follows Quinn, chasing down the two sharpshooters against the wall, but misses.
The two goblins, cornered by the halfling and the dwarf, scream and run out through the fire, being badly burned. Further, Quinn lands attacks on the exposed flank of each of them. They are both badly injured, but are able to find position to attack again.
g2 fires at Gran, taking him down (-5hp); g3 and g4 both hit Quinn (-10hp)
g2 and g3 are both bloodied. 3 minimum damage rolls. I show Gran at -1 (and on fire) and Quinn at 3, correct?
Frivry AO on g2 (1d20 4=5, 1d4 1=4)
QQ AO on g2 (1d20 5=23, 1d10 6=8)
QQ AO on g3 (1d20 5=19, 1d10 6=10)
Gran, Rhiannis, Quinn, Frivry, Dyrnwyna

Frivry |

Move to : U-4
Sly Flourish short sword: Attack roll, damage (1d20 7=12, 1d6 7=12)

Quinn Quartzcutter |

"Slippery cowards! Get back here!"
Oooh I really hope they're taking ongoing fire damage! >:D
Move Action: Move 4 squares to S5.
Standard Action: Beacon of Hope: 22 vs. g3's Will, 14 vs. g2's Will. They are weakened on a successful hit until the end of their next turn. Frivry, Gran, and myself all get 9 hit points as well.
Gran=9hp
Quinn=11hp
Frivry=Full?

![]() |

Gran smolders, while Rhiannis moves to the doorway of the torture chamber and hexes one of the sharpshooters (g2), striking him with eldritch flames.
At that time, a dazzling display of Moradin's power leaves the two nearer sharpshooters cowering and inspires Quinn's allies, even restoring some measure of health to Gran.
Frivry, now fully healed, launches an attack at one of the sharpshooters, but misses.
Correct on the hp
Rhiannis eldritch blast curse (1d20 3=18, 1d10 3 1d6=8)
Dyrnwyna

Dyrnwyna |

Dyrnwyna, seeing her enemies at last clustered into a small area free of... bystanders... moves forward and unleashes a torrent of searing flames from her outstretched hands.
Move to S8. Burning hands, close blast 5 from T5-X9. Attacks vs. g2, g3, g4: nat 20, hits REF 14, hits REF 20. 16 fire damage on the crit, 12 if any of the others hit.
