I plan to use dreams as suggested by delvesdeep. However the first dream suggested is a little too specific for my liking.
I am planning on multiple PC's experiencing the dream and having them all dream about their family being killed by their crazed mother doesn't really make sense.
I've looked around the RPGenius website and haven't been able to find anything suitable.
Does anyone here have any ideas?
I plan on using the delvesdeep dreams to fill in more of the Adimarchus backstory as the campaign continues. Something terrifying and haunting with some sort of demon(s), causing the PC to wake up screaming in a sweat would be appropriate. I'm just struggling for ideas at the moment.
Olaf the Stout
The initial dream was created specifically for my Dream Haunted character. He was an orphan who had little memory of his past beyond his servitude to the Illustrious Order of Wizened Wizards.
The Dream was designed with multiple reasons in mind -
1 - Introduction to the Haunted Dreams
2 - Introduction to the concept of madness and his
genenic link/history to insanity
3 - Concept of Angels and Demons and even the suggestion that
they can be one and the same
4 - Awakened personal memories overlapping with the horrifying
dark demonic images
If you are to create your own dream maybe start with the parties backgrounds. The dreams are horrific and insane so if the party members have a terrifying childhood or past memory that can be blurred with Adimarchus mad nightmares that would be ideal.
So what are your characters background histories?
