The hole leads out to the south, not into the courtyard, so Catharine hasn't seen anything.
Faldor gives the room a quick scan and doesn't see anything either....until a small green hand whips out from beneath the bed holding a shortsword in hand and tries to poke him in the leg, missing horribly. 1d20 3=5, 1d4=1In Draconic:

The whole room is difficult terrain so double the cost for movement in the room and no charging.

A quick side note. I was supposed to be in the hallway but this is fine. An edit though if I would have come into small quarters I would have had my rapier in hand instead of my crossbow.

Sorry, I had mistaken your Perception roll as a room search, If you wish to you can have a free move back without any ill effects.

A few attacks by the party are thwarted by the creature's cover. The creature seems to be trying to scramble out from under the bed away from the party but the other bed is tossed, almost as an afterthought by Jaden, and slams down, blocking that route. The party hears a series of rasps and clicks intermingled with harsh vowels and consonants from beneath the bed.
In Draconic-
You certainly can have your weapon out, Faldor! Thanks for being so cool with my mistake.

Faldor O'Gistoresh |

If you want a scene I could throw a hissy just for the sake of it.
Faldor moves as far away from the creature as the room allows weaving his rapier in front of himself in hopes of detering the creature from attacking him. Draconic"We apologize my scaly um... During the clicks, growls, and chirps Faldor gesturing to Keegan. After finishing his dialogue with the creature, Common"Keegan would you mind scaring him from where you are? And please do not actually attack him yet."

with the -4 for using a weapon to do non-lethal damage and even with him flat-footed, you miss. I don't feel like doing initiative and all that so I did some rolls that let Jaden and Hozs act before the creature escapes. As Hozs is too far away to do anything useful with a standard act I am assuming the creature makes it out the hole.
Jaden's weapon bounces off of the flagstone to the left of the creature prompting a whimpering cry from the scalykind and renewing his scrambling to get through the hole and the critter finally disappears through the opening.

I'm guessing that wolf was the cause of death to the body near the well. So we should be very careful."

sometimes it's handy to have a psychopath around. :) Well done everyone. We got some information and no one got hurt.... Unless the Kobalds run and get their chums. Then we may be in for it.
"A large wolf? Wouldn't it be strange if he's related to the one's we fought last night? Lead on Faldor."
Fakey, I take it there are no shrooms in these two rooms.

The False DM |

A quick search produces a small sack on the bed, a full set of Stonemasonry tools that look to have been crafted by a master(masterwork artisans tools, worth 150gp), and a beautiful (to a goblin) necklace of leather with various teeth, claws and finger bones strung along it's length(some of the bones and teeth look to be humanoid, worthless except maybe to a goblin). A look in the sack reveals 3pp, 15gp, 23sp, 11cp, and a ruby gemstone worth 300gp. A quick scan for magical emanations reveals that while stone is not magical itself it does radiate a faint conjuration magic. It's size and shape makes it look to be a perfect fit into the indentations on the anvil altar in the other room.
There appears to be no mushrooms in the rooms.

Faldor O'Gistoresh |

Faldor shows the objects he found in the bag leaving the trophy necklace inside so Keegan doesn't get any ideas. "I'm not sure what we actually need from here but I do wish to leave the creature something. We did in fact come to it's home." Faldor pulls out the gem and looks at it. "Though this was offered up. I may hold onto it." If no objections arise Faldor puts it in his beltpouch.

Hozs looks sideways to Miss Stick and to Miss Squeeker, nods towards Keegan and rolls his eyes in the 'he's-denser-than-wood' look Hozs is so used to receiving. "Well... just like I do with the other nature people. And everyone knows that wolves are meatavores... uhmmm... Carnival-eaters..." He pauses. "Uhmmmm.... Mushrooms are not meat!" he finally finishes wagging his eyebrows and gesticulating his hand in the air to confirm the fact.
If we could buy the mushrooms we would not be out here looking for them, he thinks. No objections.

Effan Effluvium |

"What are we waiting for. Let's check out the north door." Effan looks both ways and steps out into the hallway, then turns north.
Someone please get in front of him. I can't control him anymore. He just wants to find the mushrooms and get home. Hey, if this wolf is so bad, how does the koblad know whats in the north room?

Effan Effluvium |

From a spoiler in draconic above.....Me sneak in lair once when Graypelt hunt, me see lots mushrooms! Maybe mushrooms you need-need.
I don't usually read others' spoilers unless invited. I figured the kobald had told Faldor something like that. The question is if the wolf is really so fearsome, how'd the kobald get the nerve to sneak in? Just idle speculation really. And tied to the fact that we beat 3 last night, how dangerous could one be? Jaden and Keegan can go first!

Faldor O'Gistoresh |

"Can one of you longsha.. I mean stonger guys take the lead? We gnomes don't exactly have the strength you do." Looking over the group as they get back in the hallway. "Does anyone need healing? I feel we should face this wolf at top strength. It had the kobold more scared then us it seems. And that corpse looks to have been killed by it in the past."
I thought Effan knew Draconic. And I left it out because it seemed that if I let the kobold get any time to think more then it may run or attack.

Effan Effluvium |

Faldor O'Gistoresh wrote:I thought Effan knew Draconic. He does, that's why I thought he would read the spoilers also...
Gonna need a marching order and stuff.
LOL. I'm an idiot. I remember checking the character sheet when Faldor began his discourse, I must have missed Draco. I would have checked the spoilers if I'd seen it. Effan must have failed his perception(AUdio) checks. See, he is getting out of control. Seriously, sorry. That was poor form on my part.
In answer to Hozs, Effan removes his gnawed through hat to reveal his gnawed upon scalp. "I for one would welcome some hair."

Effan Effluvium |

"Hoz how many can you help? I can help too if needed."
I think the last order was Jaden, Keegan, Effan, Hoz, Faldor, and Raph. Though I could be wrong I couldn't find the post that said it last... And are you NPCing Raph Fakey? He seems to dropped off the board entirely.
That order looks close anyway. The heavy hitters are still pretty healthy I think. Jaden took a little damage. Pretty sure Raph and Keegan are 100% hp. Effan's walking around on 2 hp.

The False DM |

... And are you NPCing Raph Fakey? He seems to dropped off the board entirely.[/ooc]
As needed, I hope he returns but if not I will run him(although I like to reduce DMed PCs effectiveness and just make the fights a bit easier for the rest)....it'll be a shame though, as the final battle of the module is fast approaching....
I have decided that if you guys wanna keep going after this adventure I will cobble together a 'Path' of sorts to keep it going, using some other Paizo modules and stuff. You will also be able to retire these PCs after this adventure if you want to and try something else. If interested in continuing, let me know in the discussion thread.

Jaden, Keegan, Effan, Hoz, Faldor, and Raph.
Is this your final answer?
Aye. also if we can talk the big bad wolf down, i will try that first. I'll save the healing for when more people can use it as it only gives three points (though it gives them to everyone).
