But many do. Myself included. So I totaly understand what Freehold DM is talking about, although I never visited their forums.

Actually, I side with Kae on this. It would be one thing if the books were entirely in d20 format, but they most certainly were not, as that I something I KNOW the Alderac staff would NOT stand for. I thought it was beautiful to look at both systems from a gaming standpoint- one put its emphasis on dealing damage, while the other put the emphasis on actually hitting your target. I enjoyed the difference in philosophies, and thought that d20 could bring people who played disparate systems together. If not for the collector's edition of A Game Of Thrones, I would never have even touched GURPS again after my poor experiences with it all those years ago.

That said, the boards at the time were a bloodbath. Dis, you should be happy you missed it. I consider myself rather thick skinned, yet even I began to feel ashamed to be associated with these people after a while. I'm glad to say those times are over, although d20 has few fans on their forums. Check them out if you have the time- as well as their STELLAR fiction!

No, it was a movie question... something about Cary Grant and Tony Curtis, I think.

Spoiler:
I remember he choked and answered "Who are 3 people who have never been in my kitchen?"

I have the Welcome Back Kotter boardgame from the 70's. If you win it you take this green plastic hose segment, hold it up, and shout, "Up your nose with a rubber hose!"

Please tell me this is true. Because I so want it to be true.

Trey, I absolutely swear to you that every word of it is true. It had cards you read when you landed on certain spaces. Stuff like: "Woodman sends you to detention. Go back three spaces."
