Sorry to hear that Sean, that sucks a lot for you.
Nyah! (invents new word - <equivelent of shoulder shrug in complacent unconcern>) It sucks a lot more for the rest who live in this hive of scum and villany. There was a surge in killings and mass violence on the outcome of the election.
Best wishes for you and your dog, hopefully Blue will get better, everything will just blow over, your neighbours will stop shooting at you, and the winner will steal your ideas and use them anyway [/best outcome scenario].
He is actually recovering. Still in pain but like the rest of us puts up with it. He's now surly towards others.
Heck, run for Mayor here. Our current mayor is a former Minister for Education who gave me an award at school seventeen years ago... and that's all I can ever remember him doing. I think one of our other candidates is the guy who writes the "Out of context" funny editorial in the paper. If it involves human rights, in fact, you might get a shot in. Someone in my immediate family started the entire "Sorry Book" movement right here, and it's gone all round Australia now. Could be worth a shot (no pun intended).
Thats OK I'm happy to live here...even if they are increasingly scum.
As to the SYDNEY MORNING HERALD:
1. I wasnt in a sweatstained shirt, it had been raining and they insisted on photos outside in the light drizzle.
2. I dont just live with my mum, I live with family (My Brother will probably die in his thirties due to the toxic s$+! he was exposed to in his apprenticeship...but he didnt get a mention).
Newspapers involved in public assassinations...

I liked this bit:
"The election follows the resignation and imprisonment of former lord mayor Peter Adamson, who used stolen council funds to buy a fridge, women's underwear and a Darth Vadar voice distorter."
Yes Mr Shiny, it was as depraved as it sounds...unfortunately they cut the list of what he blew it on...For Adamson, the $130,000.00 salary wasnt enough.

"Not umemployed but self amused"
I love it Dingo! There was a time or two that I could have used a turn of phrase like that.
Glad Blue is doing ok.
Yeah! Me is Published Poet (back at age of 25), The cousins have my only copy of my book of Short Stories - must get it back and publish as Adobe Reader Document online, and am Currently writing a manual on Pottery making...How to make clay from your topsoil, charcoal making, digging pit kilns and firing and colouring Pottery from easily available stuff.
I'd Post a Photo of "The Surly Mr Blue" but the Camera Batteries are out...
He comes into my room and wakes me a four AM with a bark to the ear...up close and personal...cause he needs out for a pee.

If there's one truth in the world, it's that the modern media takes great pleasure in kicking people when they're down. Like what happened to this guy.

Nah! it just looks that way...That is why every one here is going to run for Mayor at their next local election.
"Are you are old enough?
Are you are old enough?
Are you are old enough?"
And here is the core policy that you will run on:
CORE POLICY
"Every Act of Government, Law, Constitution, (and Sovereign) shall require the direct and regular approval of every citizen."
ADDRESSING THE HUMAN RIGHTS CRISIS AND ENDING UNEMPLOYMENT
The priority of Local Government shall be the employment of the unemployed in an apprenticeship of sweeping streets, mowing grass, and picking up garbage. They will be provided with their own equipment (Wheelie Bin, Broom, Shovel, Yellow Overalls, Small Mower-and a mobile surveilance Camera - as they work as Council Surveillance Officers) and they will be employed on thirty thousand Dollars (or equivelent there of) a year in this task rather than the numerous private contractors and sub-contractors living off ratepayers funds.
HOMES FOR THE HOMELESS
Because Homes are hard to find, new employees of Local Government who qualify as "Single" will be offered a Room in a Council Employee Barracks located in the CBD. This will take the pressure off a lot of people.
REJECTING LIQUOR LICENCES
By ending the Commercial sale of Alcohol in Cities, preventing the exploitation and destruction of the vulnerable by the corrupt.
THE FLOWON EFFECT
By employing the poor, we can reduce poverty, end homelessness, and reduce the numbers of desperate poor.
