I got this great idea that will finally solve the anti-4e problem.

I suggest the Mods put markers next to anti-4e people's names so we know who they are at a glance so we can ignore them. If that doesnt work we can lock them from accessing the 4e section of the boards. The problem would finally be solved when the 4th edition begins and they will be unable to access the D&D pages at all. It will be like they dont even exist anymore.

Yeah, he/she/it is a real piece of work.

Anyone who dares post a concern or criticism in the WotC 4E Concerns and Criticisms forum is promptly board zerged by the 4E pep squad, apologists and party men, who will at a minimum attempt to shout you down. The signal to noise ratio is in the basement.

The "community" response over there is certainly contributing to me becoming less and less optimistic about 4th edition.

Got a link? Its not like I could stand to hunt around for it.

I would like to head over there and disagree with Mistress Alexis.

Quick question. Are we sure that this was not an attempt at satire directed at the moderators of the board? The reference to marking people so that you can know with a single glance what kind of a person others think they are is a clear reference to multiple historical events of an unpleasant nature. I find it hard to take seriously. Just a thought. I’ll admit that if it is satire then it is not having the desired effect. Than again, maybe this person is serious. In which case I hope that nobody is foolish enough to go along with this plan.

After seeing the D&D Experience previews on 4e, I have to say that I must recant my previous statement. I still think the message boards are terrible, but that's not anybody's fault other than the people who go there and ruin it for everyone else.

As for the Dungeon and Dragon sections of the site, I am still very sore and disappointed about not getting my magazines every month. So maybe, just maybe the Insider will cure that. The previews from DDE looked really good.

I just wish they'd give the mags back to Paizo. I've been picking up Pathfinder and other Paizo goodies at the local shop, but it doesn't beat getting the magazines every month.

In a perfect world, I would love to see Dragon and Dungeon be licensed back to Paizo as well. But even in the extremely unlikely instance that this would happen, I am doubtful whether it could still fit into Paizo's stable. All the neat Pathfinder stuff has come about to fill the gap left by the magazines, and trying to work them back in would most likely be a nightmare.

As for DDI, I am really trying hard to look past the things I don't like about it to the things I do, and not having very good luck. I am really hoping that what they are planning to charge for doesn't resemble what is currently free, or I couldn't justify the expense.

The sad thing is that ENWorld is almost as bad. They must have some kind of deal with WotC. It's not a complete waste of time like the WotC boards are, but it can be quite hostile to anyone expressing the slightest dislike for 4E at times.

I like to go there sometimes and post interesting comments, kind of like throwing rocks at a wasp nest.

Can we get labels like right-wing/left-wing? Republicans have an elephant as a mascot and democrats have a mule. Maybe Tiefling for pro-4e and Greyhawk for anti-4e?

Oh wait. I am stirring the pot again, ain't I?

I think anti-4E should be a gnome or half-orc.

Better than throwing wasps at a roc's nest.

Depends on the wasps - no, don´t write them in capitals. ;-)

I´m a half-orc, then. No angsty tieflings for me, no sir ;-)

Yep - the design of Gleemax/eDungeon/eDragon/everything WotC puts online is very craptacular.

Fixed your post for you. And I'm down with a Gnome as my pro-3.75 symbol.

I wasn't gonna say anything but WotC has always been user interface challenged.

And what the HECK is a GLEEMAX anyways?

Gleeeeeemax..... snicker.

I think Gleemax is a swahili word that, roughly translated, means "our webmaster thinks he can write software, but he can't". Worst forums/blogs I have ever seen. Spending 20 minutes setting up a Wordpress site would have served them better, I think. ::shudder::

Well... Gary Teter can't work for everyone. ;-)

Not on me- like I said, I wandered over. That said, it was on the first page of one of the 4th Edition Threads.

Amen to that. I've been going to there website for about about 8 or so years, and they have always had problems. I will say, however, that those problems seem to have increased within the last year or so.

I'm locking this thread, as its entire premise is denigrating another company in the industry.
