Ok I don't know wether it's just different release dates between different countries or what but my local gaming shop just received the 3rd pathfinder, but apparently you've released up number 6 can anyone explain?
Could be a number of things.
Your game store could be behind and they're pacing themselves worried about buying (or over buying) and ending up with product that won't sell.
Your store could be dealing with a distributor that's the middle man for the middle man. Meaning the distributor doesn't actually deal with Paizo, he deals with someone else that deals with Paizo.
Your game store could also not buy enough product from the distributor to get things first. Many distributors for small stores ship based on quantities ordered. Bigger orders go out first, small orders go out last.
Lastly, maybe your store is dealing with an overseas distributor and thus the two options above could apply along withe deal of overseas shipping.
Just some random speculation. I'd ask your store. :)

*uses amazing Paizo powers to divine that you are in Canada*
Our Canadian distributors have them up through #6. I am very sure of that. You may wish to ask your game store if they've, in fact, ordered the others yet.
If they have, I and our sales team would be very interested to know what their supplier says about the availability. I'd also be curious to know who their supplier is (as I know who the primary companies I send them to in Canada are, but I don't have any idea how many other steps there may be in the chain).
But there is no special release date internationally. We ship them everywhere in the world at the same time. Canada's should only be a few days behind the US in receiving.

A number of tornadoes touched down in Memphis in the past week, and if I remember correctly I believe there was damage to at least one of the buildings at the airport. Not sure if this info is applicable or not, but there you have it.
Best.
I know this much that he always talks about The Memphis Hub".

That's interesting. Sounds like he's not actually ordering from a Canadian distributor, but from an American one. I wonder if, after shipping and currency conversion, he's getting better prices from them than he would through one of the Canadian guys.

The wonders of NAFTA and globalization at work! I wonder when we'll go to the Amero?

When Mexico stabilizes their economy and stops making ripoffs of American designer items at the same time that Canada stops sending us cold fronts. Note, when this happens, you will know by the sudden cold welling up through the soles of your shoes.

Yeah, I actually think NAFTA might come under some fire from the non-USA. Canada's obligated to sell us a certain amount of natural gas, which made Alberta happy when there was plenty, but now that their production is leveling off, the eastern provinces are starting to get nervous. Meantime, Mexico's having various oil industry problems of their own, and are none too keen to let the US majors compete with the state-owned PEMEX.

Careful there... most of our weather, in Southern Ontario, comes from the direction of the States and it is darn cold right now (and snowy too).
As to the topic, I have seen #4 but not #5 or #6 and my local guy is a comic shop so likely he is ordering through Diamond.

We get worried about being forced to sell you our water too. In the west we get pissed off at your illegal softwood lumber tariffs as well :)
Overall NAFTA hasn't been bad for Canada, but I don't see the Amero happening ever.My local gaming store in Vancouver (Drexoll) has been getting all of the Pathfinder stuff in AFAIK.

Well, we came up with a way to fix that. From now on, the 'natural gas' we send you will come from Quebec and it will be generated by eating a lot of poutine and then farting into a long tube.

:-/ similar problem here in germany. my shop always is about 6 to 8 weeeks behind. a couple of days ago i was able to order RotR #5 (and got it). until today, no sign of RotR #6 and not even Guardians of Dragonfall.
i would say, they wait until they have enough "preorders" to compensate shipping cost but dont know if this is actually true because i don't know about their process of ordering...

Well, there goes another Quebec natural resource ! Sweet American market mmmmmm!
BTW, I got PF 5 and 6 in Montreal this weekend (long live Le Valet!).

I think that shipping time overseas varies greatly, as they are going through customs ect. I would expect them anywhere up to 30 business days after the street date. as it is, some subscribers are only getting their copies of PF6 and J2 over the last few days, so the distributors are most likely in the same boat... just getting it now and then must ship it to the individual stores.

Well, Beastman, my German distributors usually receive their copies 16-20 days after they leave our warehouse (which is the same time as everyone else's, they have their items on preorder). So, with their turnaround time, I would expect to see Pathfinders and Modules in German hobby stores about 25-30 days after they ship out of our warehouse, which would be about 20 days after official street date.
So, European copies should be about a month behind US copies, if that. If you're seeing longer times, it's probably due to the classic hobby store order lag.

Well he apparently gets it from Memphis is all he could tell me today, he has them all on order and just managed to get #3 last week and they all sell out within 2-3 days.
I just checked Diamond's database and they have both #4 and #5 in stock. Your retailer can ask his Diamond sales rep for #4 and #5 by their Diamond database numbers: 1601250398 and 1601250401 respectively. If his Diamond sales rep insists they're out of stock, he's wrong. :-) We have access to a real-time inventory database.
Hope this helps. Please let me know if it doesn't or if your store is still having trouble getting them. Your FLGS can also email me if he needs help getting items from Diamond.

I just came by to say that this is the first I've heard of this "poutine" but I am intrigued.
I would like to try this Quebecois confection and may even try to recreate it on my own.
Cela, et les Quebecoise, bien sur!

I hate to suggest this but if your local store is so far behind, wouldn't it just be easier to order from Amazon? I can't imagine the Europe version not having Pathfinder.

Dude (to continue the threadjacking), poutine is even available at Burger King in the Great White North, so you don't have to go so far as to travel all the way to Quebec (although it is a truly lovely province, eh!)....you should just be able to head a bit further north to Vancouver (hell, and pick up some Kokanee while you're at it...or even some Keith's IPA if it has made it that far out west).
Of course, it's a fast-food version of poutine, so it's not nearly as good as the real thing, but when you need your heart-attack in a bowl needs fulfilled tout de suite, well then it's what the doctor ordered (or didn't order if he's a cardiologist....I hate to think how much cholesterol and saturated fat is in a cup of that yummy stuff)!
Cheers,
Colin (an expat who still misses the little packets of vinegar when he orders french fries in American fast-food joints :( :(

Well, you can easily get the receipe in the link I gave you. Adjust the amount of each of the three ingrediens to your liking. Most of the taste differences come from the gravy you use (and how you spice it).
2- Fromage en crottes (ou fromage skouick-skouick [pronounced squeek-squeek], d'après le son qu'il fait quand on le croque)
3- Sauce brune
PS: Ton français est excellent Cosmo, tu n'as aucune raison de t'excuser!
I might add this is a favorite for after a long night of hard drinking!
Seeing that Vic and Mike want to try it too, I'm wondering what we could do to have some delivered to your office...

You know, I hear that we even have this service that will deliver it to your door every single month! Not only that, but we charge you less for that! Probably comes out to about what you would pay in a game store, if not less.

I know and I considered that but I really like supporting my local gaming store, and supporting paizo at the same time.

Apparently my store is in a change of management and I was advised to subscirbe, they'll still be carrying pathfinder but it will be a few months before they get things sorted out. So I am now a subscriber. another one for the books guys.
