. . . that I placed my first order for Planet Stories books today: Black God's Kiss and Elak of Atlantis.

Looking forward to them!

Thanks! If you like pulpy sword and sorcery, you will absolutely be pleased with your selections!

I got the Anubis Murders, City of the Beast and Black God's Kiss for xmas, and just finished the novel I was reading, so they are *next*!

If I love them like I think I will, can the ongoing subscription start at book 4, or is it predetermined where it starts from now on?

If you subscribe before the end of the month, you can purchase all of the books you missed for the subscription price of 20% off. Right now if you subscribe I believe the first book you'll get is Brackett's "The Secret of Sinharat". My sense is that C.L. Moore's "Northwest of Earth" will arrive before the end of the month, so depending on when you begin that one might also be your first book.

Okay, thanks very much!

Kind of correct... but not exactly.

You can always choose to start a subscription with either the current release or the next upcoming release. So if you subscribe now, you can choose to start with either The Secret of Sinharat or Northwest of Earth. Once Northwest arrives, new subscribers will be able to choose to start with either it or with the next volume, Almuric. And so on.
