Trying to keep up with all the messages about countries. Working a bit. Feeling less and less like I'm in the top 32. I've got a gig tonight so that should help pass 3 or 4 hours. But tomorrow is going to be hell, constantly checking the site. And of course I'm in Florida so I have to wait until 3pm.
I'm having an operation tomorrow, under general anaesthetic, which ought to keep me out of action until the big reveal. Bit of an extreme way of killing time, I know, but we're eight hours ahead here in Blighty.

Cleaning the code on the university website I run, ignoring the three grad projects due next week, jotting ideas down ides for a dialogue piece I need for my portfolio, and I have a short story pulled up that I'm thinking of sending to Dragon.
Oh, and 48 Hrs is on the background, which amuses me cause I'm trying to fix the short stories dialogue to be less graphic.
Chances? Eh, I did everything right and I like the item, but I worry that I might not have spiced up the text enough. Who really knows till tomorrow. It's one iron of many in the coals but I love all the conversation here.

. . . I am finding an excuse from grading my students last exams by trolling the boards. Of course, my logical mind suggests that since they have our emails, surely the winners have been contacted by now and therefore I should not be excited -- just happy that I will get to see 32 very fun new items tomorrow from an amazing creative pool.

Well I'm just glad I can stop worrying now. I just got an e-mail that said "Since your wondrous item was so amazing we've just decided to allow you to write a module regardless of whether you win the contest or not."
Oh wait... I sent that.
I did have a dream last night that I didn't win but it was like I was in a class room environment and there was a big pile of submissions and I could see that mine wasn't in the pile. When I woke up I was like, "Oh thank god. It was just a nightmare."

YEA my work lets this website come in, but then I just read that the Noon time is PST not Eastern NUTS 3 more hours to find out if I have made it!!!!!! Oh well at least I can check out whats happening if I get more spare time. Good luck to everyone that entered and I plan to keep working on the other rounds even if I do not make it, BUT making it forces me to be on my toes and finish the work!
