I know, I know, in the past one of the most used monsters ever but I haven't seen them in an adventure or in an Adventure Path yet. With the Varisia gazetteer however my interest for this race stirred up again. Here's to hoping they'll get an adventure path of their own once since I believe that when you do use them it has to be grand since they are one of the most iconic monsters of fantasy and lately have seen to little of the spotlight. (not counting World of Warcraft)
That and you have Half Orcs in the world and they must have gotten that orc part somewhere!

Orcs in 11? Isn't that toward the end of Curse of the Crimson Throne? That makes them some mighty orcs.. or hordes of orcs. :P
Yup! Or more precisely, background flavor.
We tried the hordes of high-level orcs in Dungeon, in an adventure called "Throne of Iuz." The problem there is that for a bunch of high level orcs to matter in a battle, they had to have a LOT of gear. It basically amounted to a ridiculous number of mid-level magic items and weapons.
When I mention orcs in Pathfinder 11, they're more flavor than opponents, as in there'll be some gazetteer stuff about them. Classic Monsters will be out by then too, as Erik mentioned.
SO! By that time, there'll be lots of places to go for the orc hookup.

I’m happy it sounds like orcs are going to be treated as more than cannon fodder. Not that I’d expect anything different from what I’ve seen so far. Background and characterization are what I love most about fantasy role-playing games. They are what give a world life.
