So, we're all on the Sargasso. Three PCs (the dwarf dragon shaman, the elf cleric/wizard, and the elf rogue) decide to explore The Rage (that's the ship nearest to the Sea Wyvern).
The two elves stay on the deck of The Rage, while the dwarf explores inside, with the elves holding on to a rope, ready to yank the dwarf back if necessary.
Upon reaching the little cabin, said dwarf finds nothing. Then the ship lurches (or something), he see's the ship's log fall in the water. Dwarf leaps in the water to grab the book- just in time. He's hit by two viney-things and held (grappled) in the surprise round. He has something like 49 hp, and takes 25 damage from the two attacks. Things look dicey for him. Next round: the vines fail to do any damage, or maybe one does, but he's still just alive.
Then I remind him of the potion he mentioned earlier in the session, that he'd found in There Is No Honor, and never used: The potion of gaseous form. So, holding the book in one hand, he uses the potion with the other, and escapes.
I'm telling you, that player was so relieved to escape, and very pleased for my reminder!

Potion of Gaseous Form and that Transposition spell is handy, whenever someone gets grappled transpose them with the gaseous form character.
Oohh...very cool. My players did that with benign transposition/travel domain's granted power (freedom of movement). The fighter/wizard would use benign transposition--after getting grappled--with the cleric of Fharlahngn (sp?), whom would use the aforementioned power.
...who says grappling's complex?

lol, hmm, my players must actually still be carrying that particular potion around, having never used or (TTBOMK) sold it.... and they are going to Scuttlecove now, lol.
The little things we forget - they only remembered the earth elemental gem from TinH in HtbM, using it against the lemorian golem...
