Before SWW, my players want to investigate Vanthus' history, and in particular have latched on to the plantation estate where he was sent while Lavinnia went off to finishing school.
I remember reading about how he summoned a demon from his uncle's book, but now I can't find where that background information is. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Letting the PCs find out more about Vanthus' history and the fact that he may have been involved in the burning of his uncle's farm is pretty cool, but keep in mind that only Ghorvash and Vanthus know about the fact that he summoned a demon. His uncle did too, I guess, but he's in the dirt now. I wouldn't let the PCs find this information out until the very last adventure where they actually meet Ghorvash near the end.

My players did some investigation of Vanthus during "There Is No Honor", without Lavinia knowing, and found out that the plantation he'd been on had been burnt to the ground. I didn't know at the time (and, thus, the person who told the PCs this also didn't know) that it was a Vanderboren plantation. In my game, I think that Lavinia will share this ("I ... I think Vanthus may have killed our uncle, too") when they reach Renkrue in the next session or two. (Assuming they survive the hydra.)
