AP Add-Ons

Rise of the Runelords

I'm aware that the RotRAP is meant to be a stand-alone adventure path but I was thinking of extending it a bit by tossing in a couple extra modules (like the Seven Swords of Sin) along the way. Will adding an extra module or two throw off the entire AP? Could I just buff the AP's encounters to compensate for higher-level, wealthier characters?

I've never run a published adventure before, but I consider myself an extraordinarily experienced DM and like to "spice things up" by providing sideplots and optional stories along the way to the main event. I'm wondering if anyone with more experience in running Paizo's other APs could chime in with some advice for me. Thanks!

I did upgrade 'the Sea wyverns wake' to say 9th/10th level

(from STAP), but that was a lot of work. nice to do but if i upgrade anothe adventure i will not do it that extreme again.
But the players liked it a lot.

a little side note: my friends and i have picked up the game say 10 years after high school.
and we try to switch the role of the DM and play once each mont, cause we live far apart and are all working and half of us have a family with kiddos :)
