I'm running my pcs through this adventure and I'm very much enjoying running it. However I have a question: my players have managed to get a mob to act as arrow fodder somewhat (though also promised loot) and have managed to sack the upper levels by this means, admittedly forgoing most of the treasure themselves. With Wulvera, Wilarue, the Retriever, the Orlath, 3 High Cultists and a Vrock Wulvera summoned remaining I've been trying to figure out what she would do.
1. I thought Wulvera would still try to carry out her sacrifice, since the three demons can teleport and grab victims, subsequently returning with them.
2. Wulvera might also plan an escape just in case via her tunnel, perhaps having the Vrock and the Retriever slow down pursuit. If need be. However this would probably be people managing to foil her sacrifice that promnpted her to do this.
Does that in general make sense as a good plan for her? This is my players' first major encounter with Yuan-Ti and I'd like to do them justice.
