Apparently, there is no music video for this...how unfortunate.
Party At The Leper Colony
Weird Al Yankovic
Another lighthearted party tune. Why this wasn't on the soundtrack to The Road I'll never know.
After The Holocaust
Nuclear Assault
Red Solo Cup
Toby Keith
I'm not a country music hater, some of it is more palatable than others, but this song seems to give in to just about every Hee-Haw stereotype there is...
If we can't hate country music, the terrorists have won.
Trouble
Whitesnake - the classic Moody/Marsden lineup
Seriously, there's good country music out there. However, it seems to me that you must have grown up with it or have to come from a certain background to "get" it - I certainly don't, just like I just don't get baseball, John Cougar Mellencamp or Southern cooking.
Why
Annie Lennox
In fairness, my wife "gets" country music much better than I; most of what I know of it comes from her. We've agreed to disagree on which side of the fence the "best" music comes from. :-)
Some folks are a little bit country, others are a little bit rock n' roll - but I think the best among us are those who are a little bit...weird.
Living With A Hernia
Weird Al Yankovic
Hihi... heh... BWAHAHAHAHA!!! *picks self off floor, draws breath* MUAHAHAHAHAH!!!!
Ahem. Time for some painful cognitive dissonance.
You Shook Me All Night Long
covered here by Celine Dion and Anastacia
Down Once More...
Andrew Lloyd Webber
Not the best version I've seen or heard by any means, but what I could find that was halfway audible (and not the horrible 2004 movie) - just another reason not to count on the Internet for things everyone should go see in person if given half a chance!
That was just wrong, Vatnisse... now I'm scarred for life.
Dream On
Depeche Mode
Blast, Ninja'd by Hiding...
Welcome to My World
Depeche Mode
After I posted it, Paizo crashed on me. Someone was telling me not to do that again. Here's an attempt at atonement.
Metropolis
Motörhead
Marche
Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky
Take The Money And Run
Steve Miller Band
Steve Miller has to be the worst lyricist in music history. Rhyming "Texas", "facts is", "justice" and "taxes"???
I kind of like country stuff...but it's gotta be something like Cash or Cline or Roger Miller. My folks loved those kinds of tunes and even took me to see the Man in Black at the Forum in LA when I was a wee tyke. That Solo Cup thing, or the Florida Georgia Line goofballs don't really count as country, I don't think. Those things are a vein of pop. Also, I've said it before, Steve Miller Band only has a couple things going for them; the drums on the above song, the whistling part from Jungle Love and the whole song, Winter Time.
Sirius
Alan Parsons Project
and HOLY LORD OF ALL THATS ROCK! What is Celine Dion doing with that song?
Ain't No Mountain High Enough
Diana Ross
Upon listening to this again, it surprised me that it took until about 2/3 of the way through the track to reach the part that I remember...
Ravenous
Arch Enemy
Great song, but that video... If that cost more than $50 to make, somebody needs to be fired.
Skyscrapers
Eumir Deodato
Coast To Coast
Scorpions
I usually prefer songs with vocals, but this is a really neat instrumental.
Yep. You are right, there are instrumentals that are FUN! Yngwie can get on my nerves in large doses, but some of those tracks off 'Trilogy' are awesome...though I can only listen to about 2 in a row before needing to switch it up. I was going to put Satch's Summer Song on here, or Dennis Coffeys Scorpio (or Son of Scorpio) for more instrumental goodness, but Ive been listening to a lot of Sabs this weekend.
Sabbra Cadabra
Black Sabbath
Sorceress Theme from Heroes of Might and Magic II
Paul Anthony Romero
There were multiple claimants to this title - the music got juggled behind the scenes some in this game.
Roll Me Up and Smoke Me When I Die
Willie Nelson feat. Snoop Dogg, Jamey Johnson and Kris Kristofferson
These guys do enjoy them some recreational substances...
Damn. That is a toke-up all star lineup.
Wild In The Streets
Circle Jerks
Apparently there is a Bon Jovi song with the same title. I don't think either band covered the other.
Ride Like The Wind
Saxon
An odd cover. Despite Saxon being old-school NWOBHM badasses and Christopher Cross being... well, Christopher Cross, his original actually rocks more.
Oil Ocean Zone
Masato Nakamura
Night Drive
Giorgio Moroder
Mirrorshades
Information Society
Leaving on a Jet Plane
John Denver
I don't have the contempt a lot of people do for John Denver, partly because folk music - John Denver, Peter Paul and Mary, the Kingston Trio - was a big part of what I heard around the house when I was little.
YOLO The Musical
AVbyte
My 16-year-old daughter set me onto this one... enjoy.
