Standing Stones?

Dragon Magazine General Discussion

I seem to remember an article in Dragon (or maybe Dungeon?) about Stonehenge-type Standing Stones or Megaliths. I have been looking through my issues but can't find this.

Does this ring a bell for anyone? Does anyone know what issue this is in?

Thanks

It rings a bell, but I neither own the issue, or specifically know which issue it would be.

Don't know about Dragon magazine, the concept of "standing stones" as a magical device was in Masters of the Wild.

Thanks. I have that and maybe that is what I am vaguely remembering. I have a good adventure concept and am looking to see what others have done with this. I appreciate the help.

There's also the Magic Locations as Treasure (DMGII, p. 236-250), and Rune Circles (Races of Stone, p. 167-170), which while not exactly what you're after, could happen to be empowered by standing stones (or something). The rune circle rules are much cooler than the magic locations rules, at least from an evil DM's point of view. ;-)
