Why wouldn't they just leave? (The Lightless Depths spoilers)

Savage Tide Adventure Path

My PCs just made it to Golismorga. The "ghostly trogolodyte" informed the PCs that the shadow pearls were made in Golismorga and that the only way to stop this was to destroy Tlaloc's Tear. My question is, once the PCs do destroy it, what's to stop them from simply teleporting away and not even bothering with Holashner's Ziggarut. As it stands, they assume that simply destroying the Tear will stop the production of the shadow pearls.

I ran into a similar conundrum with my party. I used the 'scholarly' devourer to tell them about the koprus, mentioned 'something dark and foul in the Ziggarot" , which led them from Tlaloc's Tear to the main source.

Nothing's to stop them from doing that. The aboleths will make short work of the Koprus, but the bilewretch will survive, which means that in the long term, the whole savage tide production process could begin again some time down the road. In the grand scheme of the campaign, they should be fine, but it's not the best solution. The PCs will certainly lose out on a chunk of XP and Treasure and backstory. But Lightless Depths was certainly constructed to allow multiple solutions to the adventure, to prevent the dreaded "RAILROAD" syndrome.
