In Dragon #357, on page 68, in the "Three Faces of Astaroth" sidebar, it is mentioned that "...a fallen angel named Astaroth the Unjustly Fallen is now a vestige as well."

Has this vestige been detailed anywhere?

Thank you.

This means D&D now has three Astaroths to choose from, the demon lord (assumed dead or imprisoned in the FR), the devil from an old Dragon issue and the vestige. What variant does the Dungeon #148 add to the confusion? Or is the reference of the three faces an acknowledgment of this discrepancy?

It acknowledges and distinguishes all three Astaroths, actually tying the Demon Lord and Archdevil/God together.

Thank you very much for the info. I can't wait to read the article, I have happened to think of Astaroth as the most interesting demon lord anyway. What a coincidence!

Always been a favorite of mine! Glad to see him as a vestige. He'll be on my hot list of vestiges to pick from when I get to play a binder...someday.
