Only months away from its final issue, and looking back at its run, I was surprised to learn that Dragon had a sister UK edition. According to this website, some of the content differed from the US edition, though a quick comparison shows that the cover art was the same, the text blurbs were just different.

Yeah, I still have a couple of copies of the UK dragon lying arround somewhere. Not that much to get exited about, though. Basically, it was just a dufferent cover, tailored to the UK and european audience. The text blurbs were in a sudebar, leaving the cover art clear, albeit much smaller. Here's the kicker, though: Subscribers got the US version rather than the UK version.
I never understood why they made a different version. It sounded like an expensive change at the time, and I doubt it realy affected sales that much.

I used to hate the design of the UK version - I still bought it but I hated the whole layout.
