Must be Apocalypto considering the last 20 years. Simply because of the idea, ideology, originality, and the production value of it.

Indeed. An excellent book and politically essential too. A major SF revolving around the Black community.

I've actually been in a re-reading phase for a couple of months now. It all started with Orwell's 1984 and now I'm rummaging and reading the old books on my shelf. Currently, I've been re-reading Animal farm (an all-time favorite), Binti which is an exceptional case for Africanfuturism, Arthur Clarke's 2001:Space Odyssey - my first step in SF, Stephen King's IT (felt the movie was a bummer), and One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest by Ken Kensey (have to thank Jack Nicholson for it).

I didn't have expectations watching the teaser and started watching on my friend's insistence. Contrary to my expectations though, was simply hooked to it.

I really enjoy covers of the song 'Home' by Edward Sharpe

I quite want a universe where the dungeon master is the protagonist and whatever is going on in his or her head becomes parallel plot lines

"Secular humanism is not a religion in any sense, legal or otherwise, and neither is atheism. Religion must include a professed conviction, and simply being unconvinced as to the real-life existence of what they see as mythical characters hardly counts as that. So, atheism alone is no more a religion than health is a disease. One may as well argue over which brand of car pedestrians drive."

always a wonderful quote to live by or attempt to, at the least

I love this thread very much because it is so alive with opinions. I think we like music so much because our brains' mirror neurons start empathising with the lyrics and music and we start more than vibing with the music.

Hey! Currently i am reading two amazing books and one book for the coursework (not happy about that)

First i am reading this new book called the body myth which is really wonderful because of the deep characterisation that has been done for the minimal characters who make the story. The themes that the novel deal with are mental health, the able and the sick bodies, chronic pain and trauma and coping. I am very interested in all of these. For coursework in my econ class i am reading Principles of Macroeconomics and the notion of macroeconomics is blowing my mind coz we did microeconomics last sema and i thought that it was all there was to it. Now i understand capitalism so much better. I am also reading Bleach again!!!! Bleach FTW
