Hey everyone! I've recently had a player bow out of my evil campaign in the Forgotten Realms (called Fade to Black in the Play-by-Post section). This means that there is one opening available for some depraved, psychotic misanthrope who wishes to leave his mark on the Forgotten Realms. I am looking for someone who has some spare time to commit, someone who can handle the mature elements that will be certain to feature prominently in this game, and someone who believes that they will bring something dynamic and enjoyable to the table.
You can look here for character generation guidelines.
Looking forward to finding someone soon! We're already underway but we've just gotten started so finding a place to insert someone will not be difficult. Since I know people are going to ask what is needed, I will tell you: the party needs a skill monkey. It doesn't HAVE to be a rogue, but given the heavy urban overtones of the campaign, a rogue would probably fit in best.

I have been in the market to join a PBP game again after a long break brought on by DMs vanishing midway through the game or fellow posters disappearing without a word. A chance to play a evil rogue in FR is very appealing to me. If you folks are looking for an articulate, regular poster I would like to throw my hat into the ring. You can learn a bit about me via my profile here at Paizo if you are interested. If you'll have me, you can be sure I will add to the game with a well-conceived character concept, a mature mindset and an agreeable nature.
(I accidently posted in your game's commentary thread, sorry. I deleted that post and moved it here)

Not a problem. I'd be glad to have you on board! Please take a look at the character creation guidelines and throw something together. Let me know if you have any questions. I will make it a point to check this thread frequently. If you would like to e-mail me your character sheet when you're finished, you can send it to my home e-mail address at:

Be aware it may take me a day or two to get back to you since, unfortunately, I spend far more time at work than I do at home. :(
The best option is, if you're wiki-savvy, to simply make a page for your character at Lilith's wonderful website. That's where I'm keeping the other sheets currently since I never know where I'll be when I need to look at something.

There is another opening for this campaign upon us! Grimcleaver, the player of Berzeral, has been M.I.A. for 4 weeks now and, as they say, the show must go on!
Currently, this slot is reserved for Stunty_the_Dwarf but since I haven't heard anything from HIM in a week or two either, I am bumping this post to allow other players a chance to gain entry into this illustrious (and delightfully sadistic) campaign!
Check out the campaign thread here before applying. If you think that you have what it takes to uphold the roleplaying standards we have set forth and would want to take part in this campaign, let us know. If I don't hear from Stunty before June 26th, the first qualified applicant to post their interest here will be given the slot. Good luck!

Well, that there is some pretty impressive posting. Well played all around. Kind of intimidating, really, but a good challenge.
If Stunty_the_Dwarf falls through, please give this simple, Sembian swordsman your consideration... 'Absalon desCoine'. Thanks, and good gaming.

Oooooh. I very much like the concept and your writing style will fit this campaign perfectly. Consider yourself first in line if Stunty does not reappear in the near future. It'll be good to have a fighter-type in the party since everyone else has slightly less-than-full BABs. If I don't see anything from Stunty in the allotted time, I will work your character in. Thanks for applying!

It is becoming increasingly likely that Stunty will not be making an appearance soon. I will still stand by my original deadline of the 26th, but I have been going over your character sheet and concept in the meantime.
Your free DM feat will be: Improved Initiative. Well-suited to a professional swordsman, especially a swashbuckler.
You also have the standard wealth to spend for your character: 5400 gp. You may only use it to purchase items found in the DMG or PHB and no single item may exceed a market price of 2700 gp.
Your starting languages are Common and Chondathan in addition to any you might choose for your bonus languages from Intelligence. The local language in Calimshan is Alzhedo, but the vast majority of educated people speak Common as well.

Excellent. Everything is coming together precisely as I have forseen. ...I mean, I'll update the sheet and stick 'em on stand-by.
I checked out the updated sheet, rolled your HP, and added them to the sheet. Your HP rolls were... pretty flatly average. You ended up with 24.
I forgot to mention, I'm also allowing you to purchase starting gear from the Forgotten Realms Campaign Setting book. If you'd like, you might want to pick up a potion belt. They're very handy.

The deadline is here and Stunty has not made any statements to date. Therefore, I am pleased to welcome Sovereign and his character to our game!
Keep an eye on the game thread and I will work you into the story at the nearest opportunity. It may take a few days to arrive at the scene in which I plan to install you, but be certain that I'll get you in there eventually. Game on!
