i have a problem when i am running the campaign for Resident Evil in D20 modern. I have the problem with finding out what to do if my PCs get bitten by zombies? Should i have the PCs find "Green Herb" to stop the T-virus from spreading, or should i just say good luck and soon u will become the undead, or...should i the PCs find the Cure for the T-virus later on???

D20 Apocalypse has a creature in it called a Viral Deathspawn--that is almost exactly a Resident Evil style zombie. Not to mention the whole book is wonderful for any kind of zombie nightmare halocaust style game. I highly recommend it.

Well, since it has a Resident Evil feel, you probably should have the green herbs and possibly the red and blue ones too. You might want them to find a file or diary or something that explains their use, as it'd be meta-gaming on the PCs side if they just grab a green herb and use it.
Heh, if you really want you can even add the typewriter tape as an artifact that allows you to rewind time if there is a TPK or some other disaster. Again you'd need to introduce it before hand so they know they can do this. Maybe some sort of odd rant in a memo from a bad guy or something about how he's going to cut off the funding for such a stupid project.

Adding the type writer would be kind of weird though.

It would be werid, and it would be a problem for me and the PCs because i forget what happened last adventure because i haven't started it in over 4 months so the typewriter is just an artifact to me no timetraveling machine thanks though. haha

I reccommend reading the Zombie survival guide by Max brooks if you hven't already. Firstly because it is an insanely entertaining read and secondly because it provide excellent insights into the strengths and weaknesses of the walking dead. Which, if you play zombie RPG's, can become surprizingly useful into building fun and rewarding encounters.

One question: how did you start your campign? A rip-off of a resident evil game, where each ps controls an important character, like leon and etc; or you created your own "version"?
I want to know how did it go b/c I was thinking about doing it, dming a RE game, but wanted to know if who'd done it had any troubles and how was it.

IT ok to do you just have to have the right books i guess... the only one i have which is good is the "Resident Evil Archives umbrella's virus uncover" it shows you all the monster from RE0.1,2,3,code veronica, sadly not 4. I made my own version, but put it in Raccon City of course, They started off in a bar( because i couldn't think of anything else when they heard on the TV of the Zombie attack( Sanity is a good thing to have in this CAmpaing, well for the DM that is.) The only troubles i had was what happens when the PC gets bitten by a Zombies, thankful i was helped alot in this thread and i thank everyone for the advise. and another problem was be careful whop your PCs are also character in my last campaigin i had a dieittant(Sorry i spelled it wrong, i don't have the book with my now who has never used a gun before, a military guy and a smart hero who was a tech geek and found out later that he could use a handgun, well its also good because the PCs are able to role play. If you want to start a RE4 campaign, should should play the game to see what your PCs should be up againist, well that would go for all the REs
