help me build a great cleric monk

Advice

hey everybody im looking to make a multi class unchained monk cleric (and any good prestige classes that might go with it) im open to all ideas (ranged melee reach or other) or races and all the 1st party books are available except the psycics/psionics.

i am hoping to use crusaders flurry so because of monks and clerics alignment requirements im stuck to l.g l.n l.e n.g n.n gods
other than that its 25 point buy and im curious what you guys come up with

Ecclesitheurge Cleric Archetype might be something worth looking into. Since you won't be wearing armor anyway, the ability to access more domain spells might be a worthwhile trade.

Monk/Cleric is one of my favorite combos; there's a million things you can do with them, though usually Monk1/ClericX or Cleric1/MonkX tends to make the most sense for a character.

You aren't limited to Lawful as a Monk/Cleric, since you can use the Adopted Trait to take Enlightened Warrior, or you can start as a level 1 Monk who abandons his monastic lawfulness when leaving the monastery behind. You can also use Martial Artist Monk with no alignment restrictions at all, though Unchained Monk is stronger as a dip. Some of the most interesting Cleric/Monk options involve being chaotic.

Dual Talent Human can be very useful for a Cleric/Monk, since it lets you start with two racial bonuses (like +2STR +2WIS).

Guided Hand is an extremely useful feat for obvious reasons, though whether it's worth it depends on the build. Using Guided Hand and Crusader's Flurry requires a painful amount of feats, though it's doable. Guided Hand with a favored weapon that's already a Monk weapon is much easier to pull off.

Crusader's Flurry is obviously great, especially if going for a character who flurries a greatsword or katana. It also allows a character to flurry scimitar with Dervish Dance. That being said, Monk weapons like the temple sword, 9-ring and sansetsukon are very capable, so it's not at all necessary.

Domain Strike allows you to channel a Domain Power through an unarmed strike, which is an awesome ability even if you usually use a weapon. You can always cast Greater Magic Weapon on your unarmed strike and then Domain Strike when you need it, while otherwise using a good weapon.

With strong Cleric buffs, Crane Style can be very handy for seriously beefing up defenses.

The Separatist Archetype is very good for grabbing great Domain options - especially spells or level 1 Powers.

Ecclesitheurge can work well depending on a Deity's options, though it's not usually one I'd take unless I really wanted to be able to prepare spells from a certain Domain in regular slots.

Evangelist Cleric provides very strong combat bonuses to the whole party, though it only really gets useful at level 7 when you can cast a buff and start Inspire Courage on the same round.

Hei-Feng is an awesome Monk1/ClericX deity since his favored weapon is already a strong Monk weapon.

Ragathiel can pick up the Rage Subdomain along with bastard sword flurry, which is pretty awesome for smashing things up.

There's an almost endless number of interesting possibilities. As I said, it's usually better to stick to 1 level of Monk or 1 of Cleric, though going more multiclass can work as well.

Just as an example...

Old Man War
Unchained Monk 1 / Ecclesitheurge of Gorum 8
Human: 14STR, 12DEX, 14CON, 10INT, 16/18WIS, 8CHA
Traits: Adopted - Enlightened Warrior and Fate's Favored
Domains: Destruction/Rage and Heresy Inquisition.

1EC. Channel Smite / Guided Hand
2UM. +Dodge
3EC. Weapon Focus: Greatsword
4EC.
5EC. Crusader's Flurry: Greatsword
6EC.
7EC. Power Attack
8EC.
9EC. Crane Style

You can use Ecclesitheurge to grab Heroism on level 3 and higher Domain slots for an extra combat bonus (lasts 20min/level with a lesser rod of Extend). AC with WIS, Dodge and Magic Vestment is quite high. When you get Rage at level 9, you start using Crane Style for the +4AC to counter the Rage penalty, and you get a Furious greatsword.

On my thread which is pretty similar to this one, I was thinking of Ecclesitheurge cleric/monk combo with Irori as the deity because it allows you to take Restoration as your secondary domain to gain access to healing status conditions and +50% healing but you get to swap out the spell list of Healing/Restoration for one that's not so "Cure Wounds" heavy, since you can spontaneously cast those anyways.

Also mentioned is that Ecclesitheurge does give you the bonded object which you could save some money on crafting a Holy Amulet of Mighty Fist or Deliquescent Gloves. Saves a little money.

You want a cleric 1 and monk X build here based on crusaders flurry or just go back to a cleric honestly. Human Crusader archetype combined with shizuru gives a great domain and 3 feats at level 1.

ty everyone this all looks great ill put this together and see how much it resonates with me

I made a half-orc a while ago that I liked. Not min-maxed, but a fun concept.

2 Barbarian (Wild Rager/Hurler)
1 Cleric (Crusader)(Shizuru)
2 Fighter (Lore Warden)
15 Monk (Hungry Ghost Monk/Qinggong Monk)

He focuses on crits, and a lot of attacks. Has Lesser Celestial Totem, Gore Fiend; when he crits (while raging), he regains 1 ki point, 1 round of rage, and 30 hp (as well as applying 2d6 bleed).

He's got a clockwork arm and leg, uses a katana. Early game, having high strength and these two levels of barb makes him decent with shuriken. Late game, he can just dimensional dervish around, hitting with melee.

At level 20, he'll have an attack bonus of around +32, which isn't great. He can withhold power attack, and not take the wild rager extra attack, and that brings his attack to +39. But, he gets 4 attacks at his highest bonus, an extra if he wants to burn his swift, two more if his opponent is stunned/staggered (he can stagger with his cleric domain). A total of 12 attacks a turn, all together, if he wanted to.

This is all based off a character sheet I did find, but I don't remember if it's the most current one.
