So after much kicking and railing against MMO's I finally picked up Matrix online ($7 at Amazon with a free month thrown in). I love the idea of making my mark on the canon Matrix setting--which I love tremendously. It turns out, after about three days of playing that I'm finally getting the hang of it.
I've made a character named Loebner, after the international AI challenge. He's a coder, meaning he creates stuff out of code (basically an alchemist/summoner type--like Mouse with his "woman in the red dress" from the movies).
I just made contact with Morpheus' dream research clinic, and responded to their query for membership with a relatively harsh rebuttal against Zion's militant policies. They want to talk. I also met an exile named the Baglady and have done my first smash and grab computer job for her. It's pretty cool stuff if you play it smart.
