Despite liking all three of these songs, the limited playlists of corporate radio still suck!
Which is why I rarely, RARELY listen to radio anymore.
I'm currently listening to a playlist I put together on Youtube consisting of metal ballads (not necessarily love songs, but down tempo metal and hard rock songs). The list is called "Night Speed".

One of my favorite bands just released their first track in almost 20 years. And it's incredibly disappointing. I really hope that Refused doesn't turn into the hipster-er version of U2.
To be clear, this isn't a case of "I don't like it because it's different." I don't like it because it's preachy, ham-handedly political, and sounds like a rejected Lenny Kravitz song. Serves me right getting my hopes up.

Well, I was rather enjoying listening to Emily Barker and the Red Clay Halo, specifically the remastered version of their album Despite The Snow... right up until the point where the album started again and I realised that there were 2 of my 3 favourite songs missing. Yup, apparently Spotify removed the title song of the damn album, and the alternate version of Disappear. I am displeased.
So now I'm listening to The Cure. All of it.

^^Yeah, me too. Apparently the main guy found a bunch of hired guns (though pretty talented hired guns). Guys from Adelitas Way and RED and some others...mainly to get him some backup harmonies and maybe some songwriting help/inspiration. They're promoting a track Failure with this new incarnation and have written a new LP. Looks like they did a pretty cool medley this tour and covered Metallica as well. Though, he didnt try to growl like Phil. Hm. I will get the new disc when it comes out and hopefully they will come back thru the flyover states.

'Garden of Earthly Delights' from the Vampyros Lesbos soundtrack. The track's super, smashing and great - so is the accompanying vid, although the latter does need an NSFW label. Good.

Wait, there's been a time when Refused wasn't ham-fistedly political and preachy?
Always preferred the (not at all hardcore) Bear Quartet anyway.

They seem to have always been that way in interviews, but all of the political stuff in their older songs was a lot more well-crafted and toned-down to an extent. With this new track, I feel like they're trying to bash me over the head with their message, Homey D. Clown -style.
On the other hand, they've now released a second track, "Elektra," from the album, which shows a hell of a lot more promise. Hopefully, "Francafrique" is a fluke, and the rest of the album is really good.

New MUSE. I like this one 'The Handler' best of the few 'leaked' tracks before next week's release of their LP. 'Reapers' and 'Dead Inside' are pretty good as well.

...also, had a friend forward this to me. I like it! Ruby Friedman Orchestra - You'll Never Leave Harlan Alive. I'd like to see these guys open for Jack White sometime.

Yes! ^_^ That one makes me laugh every time, especially with their added visual of their goofy home-made costumes! I also love Think About It.
There's children on the streets using guns and knives
They're taking drugs and each other's lives
Killing each other with knives and forks
And calling each other names like dork
