Tempest Globe trap - how do you read this?

Age of Worms Adventure Path

"Any creature entering the room is struck by a bolt of lightning" The spike can generate one bolt per person...

Per round? Per "entrance in the room"? I anticipate the party rogue attempting to disable this trap, and the text says "remember the globe continues to launch...at anyone in the room". So, would everyone in the room get a personalized blast EVERY round?

From the first paragraph of the trap description I would say that the trap fires a bolt of lightning at each person entering the room.
Although it doesn't say so I think it would be safe to say it fires once per round.
So, it would fire at anyone entering the room and any who stay in the room at a rate of once per round.

That's how I ran it when I ran this adventure.

I believe that is indeed the intent of the trap, if I recall correctly.

Jeebus, this could be interesting. They just picked up the Electricity Resistance banded mail, but the rogue is a halfling. Talk about pressure disarming a trap!

If you read a little farther, the text mentions that you can stand outside the doorway and attack the spike. Once the spike is broken, the trap is "disarmed." Of course, the spike is hardness 10 and has 180hp...

With Resist Energy stopping the first 30 points of electricity per hit, and Protection from Energy for anything that smoehow goes over this (or just suck it up), I don't see that the trap is particularly difficult to 'disable', despite its harness and hit points (a few power attacks would do the trick). In my game, the PC's also had one of the adamantium bastard swords from Pitch Blade, so even the Cleric could make short work of it.
