Requesting Data...

Hey All,

I'm looking for just about anything I can find regarding Warlocks,Lycanthropes, and SoulKnives. I have Dragon #341 regarding the SoulKnife feats and was wondering if anyone of you knew of any good sources for the aforementioned topics? I scanned back about 2 years worth of Dragon and about 1/2 a years Dungeon but couldn't find anything that stood out...of course I did it at 3am while I was practically drooling on the keyboard from exhaustion.

Any help is appreciated! (I have most of the Published materials in Terms of direct WotC releases and Slaves of the Moon for Lycans but I'm lacking in terms of Warlock stuff...)

Warlocks are a new core class presented in the Complete Arcane. They have a very limited repertoire of spell-like abilities that they can cast at will as well as a ranged touch attack ability called eldritch blast which is also useable at will. This class is regarded by many to be overpowered due to the ability to use all of their spell-like abilities at will but I don't really find it all that bad.

As far as Soulknives are concerned, you'll find them in the Expanded Psionics Handbook as one of the core classes offered there. Unlike most psionic classes, Soulknives do not manifest powers. They use various psionic abilities in conjunction with manifesting psionic weapons to perform their role. Much more similiar to a monk than a psychic warrior.

For lycanthropes, I really couldn't say much except that I think they are pretty extensively covered in the various Monster Manuals. If you're looking for lycanthropes besides the typical werewolf, I believe the MMIII has alternate werecreatures in it.

Edit: Reading back over your post, I'm not sure if this is the kind of information you were looking for. If it is, I'm glad to help. If not, could you please state your query a bit more clearly?

My apologies for the lack of clarity. I am seeking purely supplemental resources for the 3 subject matters. I have characters for each of the three and while I have some supplemental data for the SoulKnife(Issue 341) and Lycanthrope(Slaves of the Moon) it's not that much and I am lacking in supplemental material all together for Warlocks.

(And I completely agree with you on the Warlocks not being over powered...IMO they're almost under powered.)

Ah, well then... I'm not much help on the Lycanthropes (having never really dealt with them beyond the occassional encounter) but the soulknife and warlock classes should have some additional material available to them by now. I believe that the Complete Psionics has additional feats and abilities that could be useful to your soulknife and I'm fairly certain that the Complete Mage will have more information for your warlock. I'm not an avid Dungeon or Dragon reader (sorry!) so I can't really cite any specific issues to point you to there. Maybe someone else around here will have some insight in that field.

Liberty's Edge

Complete Mage adds a bunch of new invocations for Warlocks, as well as choices of origin other than an infernal connection.

Ok how about Non-WotC published stuff?(Ex. Paradigm)

Believe me if it's WotC published I either own it or I know someone who does/who can get it (I live just down the road from the world headquarters so whenever I go out to lunch there's always WotC guys around that're more then happy to sell me any duplicate books they have)

Dragon issue 313 or 314 and the Savage Progression articles on WotC's website have monster class progressions for lycanthropes. I personally like Dragon's better; it's less confusing. It also has some feats appropriate to the shapechangers.

WotC recently posted a new Epic Insight article that has new epic feats for the warlock.

Unfortunately, I can't think of anything for the soulknife. I don't have my stuff with me right now, but there might have been a Class Acts in the last 5 months geared towards them.
