I have just been reading the third part of the STAP and came across something that flabbergasted me – Sasserine will not figure further in the adventure path adventures.
Now it’s not that I think this is terrible. What I think is that I am astounded at the amount of work that went into the Sasserine backdrop and online PDF, when the city figures for such a short time in the campaign. This just highlights the dedication and love of the subject matter and it is entirely for our benefit. Yes, we pay for it via our subscriptions, but personally I think it goes above and beyond when the setting goes beyond its immediate purpose. It shows understanding of what we want in our campaigns - not just a bare basic cityscape with a few NPCs dotted around.
Therefore, I wanted to extend a genuine, and I hope non-sycophantic thank you to the Paizo crowd. I’d love for this dedication to continue, purely for my own selfish benefit but I suppose I should count the other subscribers in too. Seriously though, it’s going to help flesh out my SCAP campaign and will obviously be there for when I start the STAP, so thanks again.

Thanks for the kind words!
Of course, there's also a business reason for doing what we did. There's plenty folk out there who aren't going to run Savage Tide, but everyone can use a well-detailed city now and then. Sasserine also plays a minor role in Shackled City. By going into so much detail developing the city, we're basically giving potential customers who don't want to run Savage Tide a reason to buy the magazine anyway.
Plus: Sasserine's too cool not to go overboard detailing. If anything, I wish we'd had another whole issue just to detail the place!

Our group's wizard is a nut for joining alliegances (quit the Witchwardens to focus on Dawn Council; secret member of the Church of Whirling Fury) and intends to teleport back periodically upon reaching 9th level. After investing so much back-story, down time, and role playing, I won't deny her the chance--so Sasserine will not actually disappear from my game, it seems.
