Why are people wanting battle-ready swords?!?
The world really scares me sometimes :/
Some martial artists need them for tameshigiri (test-cutting into bamboo or reed mats wrapped around a pole).
Still, tameshigiri is only taught to advanced sword students studying traditional schools, and something tells me that if you accounted for every tameshigiri practitioner in the world there would be alot more battle-ready swords than that being sold...
I have a clear vision of what the sort of guy who would buy a battle-ready sword is like: One of those skinny bug-eyed white guys (probably with a neatly trimmed beard) who puts videos of himself on YouTube in a ninja suit and is just waiting for someone to mug him so he can tear their throat out with his clawed hand.
