What is this "Thesaurus" you speak of. I don't know what this is. Can you give me another word for it? Thought not.

The Synonymicon of Fakheelio?

Don't they? I'm pretty sure they do. James a little help here?

Perhaps Dungeon should do an issue with an adventure from each of the Three Amigos, Vaughn, Pett and Logue, so we could judge their works side by side. (Although I fear for Logue's tenuous grip on sanity when, as assuredly will happen, his work is relegated to 2nd (at least) position.)

Sadly FH, as a working stiff actor, I have come to terms with rejection long ago. My sanity does fine with 867th these days. Yet another reason I can assure you that I am not enjoying the decadent night life (besides my age!), is that the pay from my Dungeon adventures makes up the brunt of my income...hence all those syllables. Give a po'boy a break.

A triple threat issue would be pretty awesome though. May happen some day. If it don't, it won't be my fault, I try to get in almost every issue. Prett on the other hand...well, the hunt and peck school of typing pretty much assures us we'll get only one masterpiece every few months or so.

Contributor

I gottta go teach some kids how to kick the crap out of each other...on stage at least. But I'll be back in an hour, then the rumpus can continue unabated.

Gentlemen,

Uninvited, I know, but here is what I liked and disliked about your last three adventures With some empirical data behind it, I submit my rationale for voting Pett:

Logue (Dragonslake): Excellent NPCs and innovative adventure design. The whole "theatre" angle isn't quite my cup of tea though, I must admit.

Pett (Sea Wyvern): Great NPCs, nicely laid-out timeline for event occuances. I wanted more Tamochan, though....

ADVANTAGE: PETT

Logue (Bullywug): Great "vibe" and good pacing. When I ran this, my players really felt the time crunch you worked into the adventure.

Pett (Weavers): Everybody loves Kenku. Plus, you deserve many props for the great "Styes" setting. My only gripe: if I had to count every adventure that prominently featured spiders over the last year.... (::mind boggles::) And I hate spiders!

ADVANTAGE: LOGUE (SLIGHT)

Logue (Blackmaw): Nice design and well-conceived...but I'm noticing that we see too many of the same "intrigue-type" Ebberon adventures. For that, I must dock points.

Pett (Prince of Redhand): Masterpiece. One of the best adventures I've had the pleasure of reading in Dungeon. Ever. Can't say enough good things about this one!

ADVANTAGE: PETT

So you see, when you break it down, it really does make sense!

JD oot.

(Seriously guys, I like *both* of your work--I'm just having fun. I'm hardly a good "adventure critic" and my "votes" are all just based on my own personal preference. Plus, if it makes you feel any better, Nick, I felt the same way about "Library of Last Resort" as I did "Prince of Redhand". Awesome, awesome stuff.... JD oot again)

I've fixed Mr. Prat's name. It might take a while to update. (I tell ya, sometimes the black hole in the submissions room isn't big enough.)

Damnation, I've got to go out to the Filleted Cat Inn to have a few pints of Old Cadwallader's Throaty Scrumpy...(or something...) with some arty-farty chums. Play nicely and have a good time guys. Oh and please don't vote for Vaughn anymore ok, he gets unbearable when he gets one over us:)

So Nick, I make that, playing by Queensbury Rules as gentlemen always do, two for her majesty, her poodles and her unrivalled collection of victorian hat-stands and none for Hawaii.

Hey Jack Dangers!

Thanks for the kind words my man! You are a reader and therefore extremely qualified to offer criticism in my book.

Darned Eberron docks me points all the time. Dang Greyhawk lubbers! ;-)

You didn't include "Chimes at Midnight" in your critique (though it is Eberron so I understand), and this makes me sad as it is the adventure Prat wishes he himself had written. You did include "Prince of Redhand" which is his adventure that I wish I had written. Sadness.

Just kidding! Thanks for the praise and honest critique sir! Keep reading. I shall endeavor to one up Prat next time around for you, if I failed to do so this time.

What level is "Sword of the Draggin' Slacker" for?

12th level bards. Barbarians are banned as are any other characters who have low skill points.

Liberty's Edge

Why do you have to be a brad?

Small, trim nails have no particular advantage but bards will tend to have the social skill necessary to navigate the ridiculous world of "evil theatre".

Well excusorcise me for writing an adventure which people with skill points might do good in! ;-)

Actually, the playtest had a barbarian in the group and he did quite quite well against the ridiculous Evil Theatre Folk, once the rogue pointed him in the right direction.

I guess if you are playing an entire party of dullard barbarians you won't fare well in Draggin Slacker...er Dragonslake...so that means you and your's definately wouldn't enjoy it FH, now I see why you thought Prat's adventure was better. It all makes sense! COMBAT MONKEY!!!

Next time I'll write "Dungeon of Kill The Pratlords" and you'll eat it up my man. Eat it up!!!

I'm actually looking forward to Prat's dim attempt adventure, but sadly, I must wait FOREVER, since I live on a tiny little volcanic island. Boo-hoo.

That would be a gem to cherish, I am certain. Although, I would probably think of it as Dungeon making a 'Jester's Cap Trick' ('cause I lurves me some hockey analogy...).

And I think if I play that Dragon Slacker thing, I would try crafting a 6th level staple, 6 level brad multiclass, but I go for the more high-Dex type of fastening impliments.

Sorry to miss a bit of the Rumpus, I kinda had a minor car-accident tonight on the way home from a church sponsered costum party(Yeah, the cop thought I was laying on the innocent act a bit also.). Everyone in the family is OK. Somehow I managed to keep calm and not disassemble the old dude who ran me into a ditch. Cop told me that I could've rolled the mini-van if I had lost my cool. We are all good although my 3-1/2 year old was a bit hysterical. Anyway, after that minor brush with mortality (my kids, more importantly of course), I feel the need to be nice. Here it goes. I love these boards and feel that all of you are outstanding people. I love the playful banter that we engage in to keep ourselves entertained. I find Mr. Logue's adventures to be of outstanding quality and truly have nothing but the utmost respect for his work(still like Pett better;P). I would like to thank god for keeping my children safe and unharmed.

Now that that is over, expect no further lapses in my emotional armor and prepare to be fonged mightily! Tomorrow. I am a bit unhinged and need to down a few Shiner's to settle the nerves.

Love to all,
FH

Very glad to hear your family and you are all okay Healer! Started reading your post and got scared, till I saw your second sentence. Car accidents are terrifying. So sorry my man. Get some rest, relax, and enjoy the calm and safety of home sir. I'll be here for more ribbing tomorrow never fear. Thanks for the kind words FH. All respect in the world back to you, posters like you makes these boards a great great place...and I hate the internet usually so that is really something for me, thanks to you for making everyone's day more fun. Well wishes to your family and you as well, very happy you are safe and sound.

I wish I could ship some. The liquor store has cases un-refridgerated and I keep trying to see a *legal* way to ship a case to you. I would eat the shipping just because also. Thanks for the warm, fuzzies. And on my third (of probably 6)now.

Thanks Nick. Funny how one moment can expose all the fears one has, isn't it? Keep up the good work and know that I wish my little finger had the talent of your little finger(you know, the one that sticks out at that obnoxious angle whilst holding a spot of tea.).

I appreciate the thoughts.

Her majesty's a pretty nice girl, but I have it from a reliable source that she doesn't have a lot to say; furthermore, said source indicates that she changes from day to day. Nevertheless, someday I'm gonna make her mine—oh yeah, someday I'm gonna make her mine.

But somebody really ought to inform her that she's no longer in charge of Canada. (And then they should tell Canada.)
