Any single player adventures / modules available?

I remember the first time I played D&D was with a friend while he was eating a sandwich. He was narrating, I was playing. There was a small mini-adventure in one of the core books. I was a fighter, 1st level. At the end there was a rust monster. I got some gold. It was only blocks of text, I dont remember if there was a map.

Some of you may remember what Im talking about. Anyway, Im looking for some modules that are for single character with or without a DM/narrator.

Anyone know of any?

I may not be remembering this right, but I had a feeling Dungeon Crawl Classics put out a book of solo adventures. Anybody else remember that?

Go on Ebay. There's a series of 2nd edition modules that are actually really nice for 1 player and a DM. You would have to convert them a bit, but thats very easy. I don't even use notes for converting old 1st and 2nd edition stuff.

They were called:

Wizards challenge
Fighters Challenge
Clerics Challenge I and II
Thieves Challenge
etc

That's right. There are actually eight modules in the series, two for each standard class. I've only played one of them (Thief's Challenge II), but it was enjoyable, with a good mix of combat and intrigue.

You don't actually need to go on ebay to get the various challenge adventures. You can get them as .pdfs for $4.00 here.
