First I would beg your forgiveness for whining. Average delivery time for your magazines in the USA is less than 2 weeks right? It's been two and a half weeks and I'm wondering if I should start worrying yet. Nothing is more disheartening than going to my mailbox and finding it empty. :( I live in northern Idaho in Moscow and I figured it would have reached us by now...
in any case I apologize again for whining, you guys do good work. thank you for your time.

Just read the post (in another thread) that says many copies headed for New York were incinerated in a postal truck accident. Guess this explains why I haven't seen Dungeon 139 in any of the bookstores I've been in during the past few weeks.
Quick question: if I start a subscription now, will it begin with #139, or the next issue??

A Dungeon subscription started right now will begin with issue #141, December 2006. We have already processed the addresses for issue #140. We will be processing the addresses for issue #141 during the first week of October, so any subscriptions we get after that will start with issue #142.
Thanks,
cos

I got my 139 on Saturday and 348 today in Tempe. Where are 140 and 349. I'm waiting and was avatarless at the time of the post. Can you really edit all your posts? That could make for some seriously confusing commentary?

Nope—it's unconnected. First, the truck was carrying only subscriber copies. Second, the real reason you haven't seen it in stores is that the street date is today.

A few hours, huh? I was told at GenCon that I'd be able to get the whole STAP tha way...
No worries, I'll just pick up #139 from the FLGS!
Thanks for the reply !
Psychotic Warrior, let us know if it doesn't arrive in the next few days.
Addax, a replacement is on the way.
Kata, 140 and 349 haven't even shipped from the printer yet!
Dethstrike, Your first issue is 140—we sent the subscriber list to the printer a few hours before you subscribed.

139!!! I haven't recieved 138 yet!
I'm in Canada so I expect things to be a little late but things have been getting extraordinarily late since 137. I had to request a replacement for 137 and I did eventually end up with two magazines which is why I've shut my mouth for so long - they do eventually come. The effects are really annoying though. I find it hard to participate in the message boards now because I'm always so far behind that everything is either spoilers or old news once I finally finish reading the adventures. I'm considering not renewing my subscription because I can simply buy the magazine from a book store way before I get it in the mail. Have fun with the STAP while I get caught up with the Mud Sorcerer whenever 138 finally arrives.
Cheers,
C.

Ok, I am really confused..
my first 2 issues on subscription arrived exactly 21 days from the date announced on the website.
Well, for this one it has been 24 days so far and no 139 Dungeon..
I was at the local game store today buying Dragons of Faerun and I saw that they had 139 in stock. I just didn't feel like waiting for it to arrive in my mailbox any longer so I bought the thing..hopefully it sells out and I can hawk the subscription issue (when it finally arrives) on ebay.
The point is, I got the subscription so I wouldn't have to make the trip to the store because it always seemed like they got it late. But hell, they are getting it before I am now..
I have a 2 year subscription and this is only the 3rd in the que so I guess I will just grin and bear it ..
but if it is Canada post that is the cause for the delay, you guys should see if there is any alternative, because I am not renewing if my issue always arrives after the vendor gets theirs.

It is getting really annoying. The magazines do eventually come, but usually not until well after folks in the states are already started receiving the next issue.
I have had a subscription for a number of years, and there was never this sort of problem in the past. This all seems to have begun late last fall, in Nov. or Dec. Since then, both mags have been consistently, and extremely, late.
Something has to be done.
BTW: Still no Dungeon #139 in Toronto.

Hi.... Someone said something about NY ones being destroyed in shipment? Is that a joke? I've been checking my mailbox for my issue #139 and haven't seen it yet, although Dragon did come in time. Could I get it resent? Thanks.
It's true: a number of subscription copies of Dungeon 139 were destroyed in a truck fire on the way to New York. Our printer is reshipping them, but we haven't got a list yet....

Well I don't know where you are, but I'm in Toronto and I usually get mine just a day or two before it is slotted to come out on the news stands. Right now I'm still waiting for mine and 140 has already just shipped. So this month service is definitely slower than normal for me, which sucks since I've been really looking forward to this issue, and now I almost don't care anymore.
Still haven't gotten my issue yet either. I am up in Canada....this is my first issue that I subscribed to...not really sure what is going on exept I know I can buy it at al the stores in the area....

I'm with you on the "I almost don't care anymore" front.
Understand: My players are deeply into AoW (which we LOVE--many congrats and accolades, oh Paizo staffers), and it will probably be years before we actually get to STAP, should I decide to run it.
Nevertheless, one couldn't help but get caught up in the infectious enthusiasm of the posters who have, over the last month, been giggling and swooning over the new AP.
It's a real belly-drop when one can't participate in the general conversation, the glad-handing of the efforts of the Paizo staff over what appears to be an excellent beginning--or even know what all the fuss is about, for that matter.
To have to wait so long is anti-climactic and a total turn-off.
#140 went out today. DMs are already posting, bubbling with anticipation of reading the new installment. Yet I--and a few select other folks (mostly other Canuckleheads, people in upper N.Y., and folks across the pond), are still out in the cold, waiting for #139.
It's just frustrating, that's all.

P.H. D., I noticed that you changed your mailing address nine days after we sent the subscription list for 139 to the printer, so 139 went to the old address. If Canada Post forwarding works like USPS forwarding, that means we need to allow another week for it to arrive at the new address.
David, your replacement went out yesterday.
Ultradan, we'll reship yours.
office_ninja, you subscribed 20 days too late to receive 139. Your subscription starts with 140.

O.K. seems like some other Canadians are receiving 139. I'm in Guelph (just outside Toronto) and I'm still waiting for 138 & 139. I've tried not to complain because I've always received my issues eventually and I feel guilty about getting two copies when I ask for replacements; however, the guilt is wearing off. 140 shipped the other day which means I'm officially two months behind - is it safe to ask for replacements now?
Cheers,
C.

I'll reship them
Vic, thanks very much for the offer! Let's wait till the end of the month though. I'm still (insanely) holding out hope they'll arrive on thier own. If October comes and they're still not here I'll request new copies through customer service.
the fact that we've had to reship three consecutive issues suggests that you need to have a talk with your post office....
Agreed! I'll follow up with my local office of Canada Post.
Cheers,
C.

Thanks for the reply, I wasn't actually trying to place a formal complaint, but just commenting to other posters that I was still waiting too. I didn't think that my change of address would make a difference because I put it in before the mags shipping date, but I guess it does. However, I also paid the post office $30 to have all my mail rerouted to the new address for the next months, so I figured it that would help keep the mail moving along. I still haven't received my issue at this time, but I'll keep waiting, and let you know if I don't get in a week or so.
