Wasn't sure whether this was the best place to put this, but considering there's a link to the guidelines on this page, it works. My computer has decided to be stupid and refuses to let me view anything that is a pdf (even though I have Adobe). Do you perhaps have the guidelines in a Word file or some other format that I can download and view? Interested in the guidelines for Dungeon as well.
Not a direct answer to your problem, but...
Have you tried reinstalling Adobe?
Do you get a specific error message when you try to open up a PDF, or does it just fail?
Do you know if your PC has somehow associated the PDF extension with another application? You can check this by opening a Windows Explorer*, click on the tools menu and select Folder Options, then go to the File Types tab. Scroll down until you find the extension PDF. If it's not Adobe Acrobat, you can change it to the correct application in the bottom part of that window.
* the easiest way to open up Windows Explorer (in case you don't know how to get it) is to right click on the Start button and select Explore.

I've already uninstalled Adobe and reinstalled it (I've done this twice since my first try involved downloading an older version just in case). The pdf file thing is listed as Adobe. It's really weird because, a month ago, I used it fine, but it just stopped working about a week or so ago and I certainly haven't done anything new to the computer since then.
When you try to open a PDF, do you get an error message? Some weird result? Nothing? Something not previously listed? ;)
I doubt it's it, but have you scanned your PC for viruses an spyware lately?
I would look for viruses and spyware. If you don't have a spyware checker, there's a few I can recommend:
AdAware by Lavasoft seems to be pretty darn good, and it's free. :) I also like SpySweeper by a company called WebRoot. The product costs money, but the last I was on their website, there was a way to get a free 30 day trial.
I've heard good things about Microsoft's syware product, but I've never actually used it.
I can copy/paste the PDFs into Word docs for you, but I'd prefer to wait to get a thumb's up approval on that from an editor before I go ahead and do that - just in case they have some issues with it.
