.....I go to WotC and ask for some advice on the C.O. boards.
People blatantly ignore the post and just start yammerin away on topics vaguely in tune with what I ask? For instance : I am currently trying to come up with a pure Fighter build(no multiclassing/no PrC's) I just want help with Feat selection,
and this is what I have....... and then they just start going off about this PrC and that PrC and after 4th level Fighter sucks and blah blah blah........ did you even read the post? Am I the only one this happens to? Dont get me wrong I appreciate people wanting to help but if your rambling on about somthing I didnt ask, save yourself and my self the trouble.

I find th WotC board to be full of people who want to cause as much turmoil as possible and will debate a point to the death when even the rules are clearly against them. I rarely post there anymore because someone fought with other posters (myself included) that a sleeping person can't be coup de graced because a cdg isn't a single attack it is the act of "rooting around with you sword for a major organ" and would wake the person before the full round action was complete. Clearly wrong. Anyway try us maybe we can help.
What type of fighter build: Melee, ranged, reach, exotic weapon, what type of weapon do you want, light, medium or heavy armor, Dex fighter or Str, lay it on us man!

I have this 6th level Fighter 5th level Kensai, and it has worked out GREAT for me! Have you ever considered the Kensai? Would you mind if a couple of our prestige class sales personnel visited your home to share the benefits of multi-classing?
If you're interested in Fighters might I suggest the Barbarian class, they're good at fighting too and they get DR. I like DR... it reduces damage, and that helps characters survive! Feats are neat bu rage is rad! If you went barbarian you could go with the frenzied berserker prestige class, mix in a few levels of sorcerer and maybe a sprinkling of rogue and your fighter could be a one-man adventuring party.
Would you like fries with that?

There are a lot of munchkins on the WotC boards - not necessarily a bad thing, mind you, but some of these kids would rather leave a game than play a straight fighter. It's widely believed that:
1. The lack of good fighter feats a higher level make it pointless to play past either 4th level or 12th level
2. The fighter's lack of class variety makes him boring to play
3. The fighter's power doesn't scale, making him weak at high level
To some extent, they're correct. Fighter characters get feats every level up to 4th, at which they can take the fighter-only Weapon Specialization, but at 5th level they get no feat and for that level you're technically better off multiclassing into, say, barbarian. Four in fighter, four in barbarian and ten in some prestige class can be more powerful than eighteen in fighter.
In other words, at high levels fighter feats tend to grant more versatility rather than more power, since the advantage of a straight class fighter is you can take several feat trees. If you like versatility then straight-class fighter is wonderful, but other class combinations would give you more power.
