The Matrix: Revolutions...

Movies

For the first movie (The Matrix), I personnally gave it a 5 out of 5. It had a really cool story and neat special effects that we've never seen before and I would recommend to buy it if you haven't done so already.

The second movie (Reloaded), had the same feel to it but nothing new was added. The story wasn't as fresh and got a little confusing at the end. I gave it a three out of five. It's not for everyone, but I still recommend watching it.

This movie (Revolutions), had absolutely nothing that the other two movies had not shown us. The story was poor and really confusing, leaving me with question marks over my head asking my self 'what the hell just happened?'. There is an awful lack of explenations and I got the feeling that the writers didn't know where to go after the second movie. I give it a 2 out of five and actually don't recommend seeing it as it ruins the effect of the first two movies.

Do you want to know how I would of written it??

I would of made it so the 'real world' (you know, when they unplug) is actually a sub-program and still within the matrix. It would exist only to appease those who revolt againt the Matrix, making them think that they are free from the machines. Being still inside the matrix would explain why Neo has the power to feel and stop the sentinals while in the real world. At the end of 'my version', we would realise that there are many realities beyond the real world and one could never know if he is free from the Matrix.

Ultradan

Thats a cool idea, and gives the whole thing a dark twist - Love it. Too bad you couldn't pitch it until after the series was out.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

ExistenZ sounds like the movie for you, Ultradan. It's Cronenburg too so there's this surreal, dreamlike quality to the whole thing. Basically it's a bio-organic game based on the user's own mind as the source inspiration for the story--only once you plug in to ExistenZ you still have your plug so you can jack into games within games. So suddenly when you log out, are you logged out or still playing?

Death to the demoness Allegra Geller! Death to ExistenZ!

And now, from absolutely out of left field, a thread necromancy of over a decade, just to ask a question that I can't imagine won't tick people off. Just because of the sheer pointlessness if nothing else.

I recently discovered the Nostalgia Critic and got to his reviews of the Matrix movies, and seeing the third one helped me realize something about the Oracle.

She knows the future. Her name is really more of a title. She can die, and yet not really die, becoming a different version of the same person she was, in a new body to boot.

The Oracle is a Time Lord.
