I didn't want to post this in the errors thread because it is quite possible that I am missing something here...
Ike's Death domain power Death Touch seems to max out at 7d6, but shouldn't he get 13d6 when he uses this power? (pg 363)
Also in the tactics section it says that Ike saves his Inflict spells to use on himself and his undead lackies...but why would inflict spells heal him if he is not undead? (pg. 211)
Thanks All.

I can't offer anything to you about Death Touch maxing out at 7d6 without a PHB 3.5 handy...
But I happen to have Ike's stats here; you apparently didn't read the fine print on one of Ikes feats:
- Tomb-tainted Soul: Ike's soul is infused with undead energy, which allows him to 'repair' damage from the negative energy of Inflict spells, as opposed to typical healing spells. Of course, the upside for the party is that 'Heal' spells will damage him in the same way that 'Inflict' spells will.
This feat is out of the BoVD and is listed as a sidebar at the back of the module, on the bottom of pg.36 of issue #109.

Question #1 - Without the book open in front of me (at work currently), I'm not certain but if Ike has any levels in a prestige class of any kind, those would not add to his death touch ability, because the description of that power under Domains in the PH specifically states that the cleric rolls 1d6 per Cleric level when used. If he's got a prestige class, that would explain why he's only listed as using 7d6.
Question #2 - Again, I don't have the book in front of me, but I believe Ike has the feat Tomb-Tainted Soul, which I first saw in the issue of Dungeon that featured Secrets of the Soul Pillars and which later appeared in Libris Mortis. That feat reverses the effect of positive/negative energy for the character (i.e. negative heals, positive harms).
Hope that helps.

Thanks guys. I had indeed overlooked the feat taht allows Ike to flip the polarity on negative/postive energy for himself.
What about the Death Touch? Does anyone know why Ike's DT would max out at 7d6? I can't find anything that in the RAW that limits the DT other than the cleric's level.
Thanks!
Vedic, Ike is a Cleric13 - so by all rights, he should have 13d6 for his Evil domain Death Touch - unless it's capped at a certain amount of dice; but I'm fairly certain this isn't a typo - anyone out there with a PHB handy want to look this up?

At the start of the SCAP Ike is 7th level and the death touch was not upgraded with him, it's a typo.
For the feat you have the answer already.
