Hi, Tony "Mt. Zogon" Moseley here.
At long last, I have removed the “under construction” sign at zogonia.com and replaced it with......(drum roll)......a WEBSITE!
Please take a look. There isn’t a ton of content yet, but all the Mt. Zogons published in Dungeon are there. Plus one extra.
Please pass the word to your buddies, and to any other messageboards you visit where you think people might be interested.

Done.
Your stuff is always a highpoint in both magazines. Its the coolest comic, well, since Snarfquest.
Please tell us where you get your ideas! Gaming? You certainly nail some people and some characters 100%. The bard with the gong still makes me laugh.
Keep up the good work.

Well... Don't tell Erik, but I just spent the last hour reading old Zogonias from Dragon. You're a funny guy, Tony!
The "Kev = Frog" inset panel in the big four page lich battle is probably my favoirte ever summary of what happened last time in any comic ever. Good times!
I'm just waiting for the heros of Zogonia to run afoul of a certain ooze-friendly druid...

Thanks ASEO, Snotlord and James Jacobs!!
Yes, ASEO, I did the kick-off-the-gnome's-head strip. :)
Absolutely correct, Snotlord, I get some of my ideas from gaming. But I also get ideas from other places...
I usually have a bunch of ideas pop into my head while I am drawing a strip, for example. While I drew the last Zogonia, I wrote down another 5 script-ideas as my mind wandered and thought Zogonia-thoughts.
I also come-up-with good ideas out-of-the-blue. Like when I'm walking in a store, or driving.
I can also sit down and say, "I'm going to come up with an idea" and I will come up with one.
Thanks, James, for commenting on the "Kev=Frog" idea! You bet Domato's Delvers will eventually encounter Galeena. I don't know when it'll happen, though. If I wrote that script now, I have a strong feeling it would end with Galeena killing Domato, Dindil and Kev. So I'm going to wait, out of fondness for Domato's Delvers.
But who knows? Whenever they eventually DO bump into one another, maybe it'll be a TPK anyway.

I do have to metion a couple of things about Zogonia. One: Am I correct in that their party is basically two fighters and a rogue? They have no spellcasters? (This isn't a complaint, just an observation.) Heck, it sounds like a couple of games I've run...
Second, the whole 4 page lich battle... OMG, I couldn't stop laughing! Especially the bit about "Chanting spell verbals.. chant*RIBBIT* STOP THAT!" Just the whole idea of a frog in a lich's skull disrupting the spell verbals cracks me up!!!!
And, you are so right about the dungeons getting tougher as you go deeper... why the heck didn't someone design one with the major tough bad guys right at the front door?!? I know if I had been them, I would have run as soon as he popped his skull out the entrance.

That's right, Squid: two Fighters and a Rogue. This is basically because Domato hasn't felt compelled to recruit a spellcaster yet. There are a few reasons for this...
Being the Party Leader, Domato gets an extra share of treasure. He spends that extra share buying magic potions and whatnot for use during adventures. In a sense, those potions ARE the cleric/wizard in the party. :)
Also, Domato (who enjoys being the boss), thinks all spellcasters are bossy and opinionated and would likely "take over" control of the party...so he's wary of bringing one in.
And, lastly, having a 4-character party would make Zogonia seem too much like Nodwick. (haha)
THANKS for the nice words about that lich strip!!!

No, you didn't miss them.
I decided to add the Zogonia strips slowly--1 per week, roughly. Next Monday I'll explain my 'plan' on the front page (the day I'm uploading the next strip into the archive).
At some point down the road, I'll run out of published stuff and will start generating brand new content for the site!
That's the plan I came up with a couple days ago, at any rate.

Dude, Mt Zogon in issue 123 rocked. Way to tie in with the explosion dog. I laughed so hard that Mt Dew squirted out my nose. (At least I hope that was Mt Dew...although I haven't drunk any in about a week...anyway) I was a bit skeptical when I first saw Mt Zogon, but you've made me a fan. The one about the jewels in the roper's guts...Awesome! Keep up the great work. Any chance of getting more of your past Zogonia stuff posted on your web site. I still chuckle when I think of the one where the Kev kicks the gnomes head off.

Hey Tony,
Love the website, and both strips. Usually the first things I read in both mags.
My favorite Zogonia is the one where Kev sneaks off while on guard duty, kills a room filled with sleeping monsters, and gets berated for it.
The party I GM for commits similiar blunders on a regular basis. In the last session, it cost them the party's ranger. Dang, if that evil druid didn't do maximum damage on a critical with a shillelagh enhanced club backed up with bull's strength (ranger pancake ended up looking like the second portrait from the bottom left of your Dead PC portraits post--HI-larious).
As for Mt. Zogon, Galeena rocks. And by the way, she's not bad, she's just drawn that way.
Love the mushroom...I even got the shirt (I AM MUSHROOM, HEAR ME SPORE).
'Nuff for now, keep up the good work...
