Beginner Box Heroes Miniatures Set now available from WizKids!

It's time to add some pizzazz to your new game with the Pathfinder Beginner Box Heroes Miniatures Set from WizKids!

Through a partnership with WizKids, we've been able to finally release our very own pre-painted plastic miniatures and I dare say that they are awesome. The first release, the Beginner Box Heroes Set, accompanies the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game Beginner Box, adding stunning miniatures to an already exciting gaming experience.

Within this set, you'll get our four iconic heroes: Ezren, human wizard; Kyra, human cleric; Merisiel, elven rogue; and Valeros, human fighter. Numerous painting steps means these pre-painted plastic miniatures unlike anything you've seen before, and the details on these minis are incredible! Collected together in one set, you'll be able to replace the cardboard pawns in your Beginner Box with these fantastic figures. The best part? The quality you see here is just a taste of what's to come with the Pathfinder Battles pre-painted miniatures line!

I just got home and discovered a small Paizo package in my mailbox!

These are very cool. The level of detail is pretty amazing, to be honest. From Kyra's cloak, to the actual mettalic looking breastplate that Valeros is wearing.

The skin tones are a bit to pale, but a simple wash should fix that right up. If I decide to actually use them vs. displaying them in the very nice display box they come in...

much the same here. the detail is amazing for prepainted figures. I also agree that the skin is a bit pale. one criticism I would have though is that the packaging is a bit large for a 4-figure pack. retailers may not like that. The price point is ok though for the quality. Good job Paizo and WizKids, can't wait for my case to arrive next month?

WizKids has used the same packaging previously for some of their HeroClix releases, so retailers are familiar with it.

(Many retailers actual prefer packages that are harder to shoplift...)

Excellent point, Vic. They do indeed prefer something that can't be easily tucked into a pocket or under a jacket.

As long as the packaging is recyclable -- and it appears to be -- it shouldn't be much of an issue.

It's Category 3 (PVC), which is technically recyclable... but in practice, very few communities actually have recycling facilities for Category 3.

But more and more do, especially with the growth of single-stream recycling.

I just dump all cardboard, paper, plastic and glass in the bin and let them figure it out (with the usual exceptions: light bulbs, etc.).
