Wacky Packages!
Cthulhu, zombie, and bigfoot odds and ends are in the store!
It's hard to catch me by surprise. After more than 20 years in this crazy business, I've seen just about everything there is to see. But last week, Jeff brought in some wacky tchotchkes from a company called Accoutrements—little knickknacks based on zombies, Cthulhu and bigfoot—and I had to sit back and smile.
Does your breath smell like squiddy undead feet? Try the Cthulhu Mints, Zombie Mints, or Bigfoot Mints. Imagine the surprise on the faces of friends or strangers when you offer mints out of these creative tins!
Do you like to carry your water with you to drink? Then check out the Cthulhu Evil Elixir Water Bottle, the Zombie Juice Water Bottle, and the Sasquatch Seltzer Water Bottle. Fun!
Jeff really likes the Super Awesome Trading Cards. Depicting wacky items connected only by their awesomeness—things like bacon and centaurs, and of course, Cthulhu, zombies, and bigfoot—these cards will surprise and delight you!
Finally, we have the Oh No... Zombies! Board Game. You're trapped in the middle of nowhere inside a rundown shack surrounded by zombies. Your cell phone doesn't get reception and the land lines just emit a constant busy signal. Your only hope for survival is to get to one of the abandoned stores so you can get a battery for the CB radio in the shack and a shotgun to help you survive the trip back. Good luck with that.

-Lisa They really were! :) My friends and I used to collect and trade them all the time, back in like 1970-72 time frame. Although checking out the article I linked, I see that they're apparently still making them! I may have to search around for some...
But it was nice to have a little "blast from the past," even tangentially. :)
