The Detective Base Class

Detective fiction has been a staple of literature. The stories of C. Auguste Dupin, Sherlock Holmes, Judge Dee, Father Brown, the Hardy Boys, Hercule Poirot, Nancy Drew, Miss Marple, Dr. Who, and even Dr. Gregory House have captivated the minds and hearts of many.

Detectives can see through any ploy, solve any crime, foil any villain, and always remain one step ahead of their prey. Some are literal officers of the law; some are nothing more than brilliant amateur sleuths; and others work as private investigators for hire. Whatever the case may be, they are all astute and wield their repartee like a sword to dispel ignorance and overcome mystery wherever they go.

Hey Little Red Goblin Games,

I'm very curious about this product due to the urban mystery/investigative angle of one of my Pathfinder campaigns.

Can you expound a little more on the contents of this PDF? Is there a "Detective" base class? Are there new spells, archetypes, magic items, etc.?

Thanks for your help!

Yep! It's central focus is the Detective base class. It has a unique and somewhat meta angle that allows them to guess at clues/plot points and regain resources that (in turn) allow them to kind of ask the GM "yes/no" questions.

The book is based entirely on the class- not really focusing on other elements. Books we have put out like the Judge have more investigative related magic items, feats, etc.
