Synthesist Summoner / Eidolon size questions

Advice

Although our group has not reached 13th level yet and are not particularly close i thought i would have a look into building a large as possible synthesist summoner, just for the fun, i have come across a few of questions though:

At 13th level i will be taking the Huge evolution for my eidolon and possible even be casting enlarge person on him (quadruped)

1- with the huge creature evolution can he choose to be smaller or is he always huge without reduce person? (this could be a problem getting into buildings/caves etc..)

2- with the appearance of the eidolon being any fantastical creature could i make its huge/gargantuan appearance longer rather than taller? (i dont see why not, just wanting clarification)

3- with a synthesist, how does he look while within his eidolon? does he have to walk around on all fours if the quadruped eidolon the same size (medium @level 1-8) was described as a wolf like creature? (purely for the appearance of walking through towns)

4- assuming the eidolon has a starting weight of a normal medium creature, (i have roughly assumed 100kgs/220lbs) when he gains a size increase (unless im wrong) the eidolon would be 2x height & 8x weight? do that again for large-huge and then huge-gargantuan and you end up at roughly 51000kgs/110000lbs.. and 40-50ft tall.

the question being: are there rules for if something like this creature fell/jumped/stood on any other being? what kind of damage would that incur? and what kind of saves? (i found the cave in damage but it would probably weigh more and be harder to get out of)

thanks in advance

1- Huge is huge. All that I can think of is squeezing.

2- Longer or taller matters not other than for reach. It is still taking the same space.

3- I thought there was limitations on what forms you could use, I think that was just something I go by. I assume mostly because at lower levels you definitely need to walk around in the same form and the quadruped would not have the appropriate limbs to allow spell casting w/o adding more limbs just for that purpose.

4- no idea.

With all kindness, please read all the FAQ's on this. It will answer some of your questions. You are playing one of the hardest classes. You will need arms to do stuff. Your GM is the best person to ask this of because you need to both be on the same page.

I wouldn't recommend any summoner (synthesist or not) to walk around towns with the eidolon summoned, except it's really ordinary-looking, like a walking armour.

The rules say that the eidolon is a fantastical creature, and that the fused looks translucent. I am against both. Descriptions should be done by the players, as long as it doesn't change the rules. Anyway, talk to your GM about the "necessary" description.

If you are normally huge, then you are always huge. You need to shrink yourself to walk through human-sized doorways.

About crushing someone, it's in the domain of house-rules. Talk to your GM about this, to see if s/he allows something of the sort, or requires you to grab some evolutions.

I think originally there was an intention for long to take up more spaces than tall, as otherwise the loss of reach is meaningless. But there doesn't seem to be anything in the RAW to actually say that.

Wasn't it 3.0 that had it like that? Then it changed with 3.5?

Not sure of the history. Just that long's shorter reach was supposed to be because they threatened the extra squares they occupied. Currently they just get shafted on reach with no compensation.
