The cards are from all classes within the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game and the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game Advanced Player's Guide. Each spell has a book reference on the card in addition to the spell description, level, and relevant charts. Included in the cards is a summary of spells for each spell level. This set includes the following classes: Ranger, Bard, Druid, Cleric, Cleric Domain, Paladin, Wizard/Sorcerer, Alchemist, Inquisitor, Summoner, and Witch. (Elementalist was not included as those spells already are covered by Sorcerer/Wizard spells.)

Cards may be printed in color or black-and-white. Each class of spell has been color-coded for easy identification. Crop marks on the page indicate cut lines. The back of the page has crop marks, but it is recommended to use the front cut lines. Some formatting differences may occur for longer spells.

Spell content may be carried over to the back of the card or across multiple cards for longer spells (as indicated on the cards). Printing may vary slightly due to shifting stock printing on two sides. Please make a test print to see how well they line up for your printer. There is spacing between cards to allow for this variation.

Good Idea, poorly executed

2/5

I purchased the Simply Spells Ultimate Spell Card Colection with great hopes of being able to put together a flip book of the spells my bard and inquisitor use. Well, its not as easy as all that.

This 427 page document does not have single bookmark. Nor does it allow the user to create a bookmark. Selling a PDF that is not bookmarked or allows bookmarking should be considered a criminal offense. In this case it makes the document nearly unusable. Scanning through thumbnailed pages just doesn't get the job done.

Furthermore, when I was attempting to put together the Inquisitor spells, some of which are cleic spells that are not in the Advanced Player's Guide, I noted that the spells for that class were only the ones from the APG. In order to find the clerical spells I had to go the cleric spell list. Again, without bookmarks or any way to easily find them. So the spell lists are not complete, all of the spells are there, however in order to put them together you must search around. Which is incredibly difficult without bookmarks of any kind.

This is far more difficult than it has to be. Especially when there is a simple fix. Allow users to make their own bookmarks! Forunately, I was refunded my purchase price for this product. I can only hope that updates are made before you purchase it!

On the printout spells that are across multiple classes, eg clw, is that on multiple pages so i can just print out the full pdf on card stock once instead of having play with the pdf so i can get multiple copies of that spell without copies of all the spells around it?

I want to make a cardstock bound book of spells for each class

@Spahrep Good question. I have PDFs for each class. The combined collection is basically all the sets combined in one large PDF. Therefore if a spell is across 3 or 4 classes then the spell will appear 3 or 4 times (i.e. one for each class).

Perfect!

unfortunately this is not the case for the APG classes, and it only is set up like this for the core classes.

Will you be modifying this and putting up a new version of the pdf?

Will there be an updated version of this file containing the new spells from Ultimate Magic and Ultimate Combat? Also, will there be a Magus spell listing added?

This is a big document! However, in my version of Adobe Acrobat, I cannot add bookmarks. Is there a problem with my download? I purchased this document and would like to be able to bookmark the cards that I need. I hate trying to scroll through...

Sadly, Adobe's security settings are very broadly defined, and the same setting that protects our watermarks prevents you from adding bookmarks in Adobe apps. I believe there are third party apps that will let you add bookmarks to secured PDFs, but I don't have direct experience with that, and can't tell you which ones specifically.

Any news on an updated version of the file? The last update was in March of 2011 and its now Feb of 2013 and I still don't see any Magus spell lists or any spells from Ultimate Magic added.

Apparently this product is simply not being supported anymore. Shouldn't it be taken down then? It seems unethical that people can still purchase this. BTW, I had also found that the security settings will not allow me to print selected pages of the document (ex: the cleric spells I needed for my inquisitor class) to a new PDF that could be more easily used. This is a fail, why is it still being sold? BUYER BEWARE!

Sounds like the security thing that Vic Wertz responded to. It's also why no Bookmarks. :(

Sad, but I'm willing to put in the work. :)

And "simply not being supported any more"? It is 1st Edition (which I prefer, so this is good), so I'm not surprised; does that mean they're not coming out with any further volumes, like Sorcerer/Wizard spells from Ultimate Magic, for example? :-/ For that matter, is Blue Banzai even around any more? That could be another reason for it, though I too wish they'd come out with more. :)

Win7 isn't being supported any more, and I still use it (I way prefer it to Win10, which I have on my laptop under duress); in fact, Microsoft keeps insisting on updating my security programs for it, even though they said they wouldn't any more...if I tried, I could probably find a legal copy of it somewhere, even possibly from Microsoft itself, what with all the ton 'o disks of it they may still have in the warehouse somewhere. ;)
