Is there ever a possibility of there being a reprint of this book?

Am I correct in my interpretation? Also, what is the rationale behind that? Medium and heavy armor prevent you from being acrobatic enough to avoid attacks while moving, but only offer a little hindrance to jumping or falling?

Seems to me that Medium and Heavy armor hinder you moving around...So you can't do all the same things in full plate that you can in leather. I think that is pretty decent rationale.

If your using APG you might consider an Elementalist. Fewer spells on your opposed list.

It looks like a fun character to me. Absent minded and rude.

I keep thinking about having mundane items that are better than Masterwork. That way you can have something the players want to invest gold in, but keeps the magic items special. Haven't worked it out yet though. I do really dislike the idea that you can go to any shoppe and buy a magic item. But it seems the game is kind of built around that idea. Otherwise you end up with players that have magic items that don't work for their characters.

So does deafened effect language choices as well? Also what languages can be spoken? Just curious how you go about this in your RP and also in characters giving each other instructions during battles and such. It's not like the deafened oracle can hear his buddies cries of pain when he gets stabbed.

Also Illusion has some very nice spells as well. Invisibility for one. I'd ditch Enchantment for sure.

That makes sense, but who rolls the d20? The scroll?
Yes, the scroll does. If the scroll's player didn't make it to the game that day, you're out of luck.

That has to be the worst character to play that I've ever seen. You just sit there, all the time, waiting for someone to unfurl you and peruse your contents. You have no senses so can't even pay attention to what is happening at the table. Then, when someone finally finds a use for you, and it just so happens to be someone who can use a scroll of your nature, you finally get to contribute to the party!

Sadly, the parchment is the only thing that remains of your long life; your soul burned up in one moment of brilliance. If you were lucky, you just might have saved an adventurer.

Oh, well. Time to roll a new character. You should try a scroll of Wish next!

I think I play with a couple people that play this character all the time. :P

Similar in question but what are the divine spells that stop scrying? I couldn't find any.

I agree it's always a challenge to not over think what you know. I like the ideas you have.

Just remind him of rule zero. He can look that up repeatedly if he likes.

1 person marked this as FAQ candidate.

Not being able to sneak attack when opposite an ally withing 30' doesn't make sense. So me if you opponent is engaged in combat and you are behing them. You should get sneak attack for shooting them in the back.

It's pretty obviouse though that ranged attacks are not the way to go if want do lots of damage though.
