I have a character concept that I am trying to get some ideas on for a Priest of Cayden Cailean. I am looking to have them as a Human (Taldan Ethnicity) Cleric with possibly Strength and Exploration domains. They will be more focused on combat than as a healing cleric. When they are not adventuring they work as a Brewer with ambitions to brew drinks worthy of their god Cayden Cailean. I am posting below what I currently have built for them and would welcome any advice for possible improvements to the character. Character stats are showing for level 1, there is a possibility we may end up starting at level 3.
Our DM has not announced the final decision on character creation rules yet. There have been several methods mentioned for ability scores. The method currently used for this is 3d6 reroll 1's, but could potentially be based on a 15 point buy or another method of rolling ability scores)
Ability Scores: Str 15, Dex 10, Con 16, Int 12, Wis 14(base 12, +2 racial bonus), Cha 14.
Race: Human
Class: Cleric
Weapon: Rapier
Armor: Chain Shirt
Traits: Iron Liver, Reactionary
Feats: Selective Channeling, Toughness
Skill Ranks spent on: Diplomacy, Heal, Knowledge History, Knowledge Religion, Profession Brewer.
Prepared Spells: Detect Magic, Guidance, Light, Bless, Shield of Faith
Most of his spells are going to be spells used to enhance combat ability for himself and other party members as well as some spells for out of combat uses. He is not the party healer, but would have the ability to spontaneously cast cure spells for emergency situations. I am considering using a channeling variant such as Strength Channeling.
