Exploration Question Answered:
So the reason to explore is that the party can lower the massively high DC to search for the actual final Dungeon.

So I ran this, and as a GM that sometimes finishes early, I would need an extra entire extra session to finish this scenario on time. The Exploration Portion could have been it's own scenario length wise, and the final encounter area is likely on the "Extra Long" Season 2 Quest side of things... So easily three hours if you're Running As Written.

I started the post exploration climax at the end of the allotted session time, and did an ultra-speed run through it to fit the scenario into six hours.

Individually, the encounters are great, and I loved the NPC's introduced. It's just that the added logistics of the Hex Crawl when most parties can afford a spacious pouch and enough rations to last plus the higher level combat makes the added administration too time consuming.

Speed Run to finish in 5 hours - for a convention slot or zero flexibility retail table.:
So I'd ask the party's permission to waive the hexploration rules entirely. I'd skip the animal combat encounter and TPK hazard encounters entirely and combine those Treasure bundles with the remaining combat, I'd basically do all of the NPC encounters & the one combat related to one of the NPC's former village. Hexploration encounters are severe by default because it's the only encounter that day, and at this level they can run super long - particularly if the melee PC's can't deal with Flying in a reasonable manner. After that, I'd start the final dungeon as written or making the first encounter a skill check with no combat option. With the briefing and epilogue, this might just allow a GM to finish on time.

Man I just got my ass whooped by this scenario - basically a TPK. The fact that it's a Level 4 Party and there are exactly zero striking runes made the adventure feel brutal, as the enemies seem to be scaled for higher damage.

So yeah - this one can be swingy.

You know one addition that would make my life super awesome and easy? A combatant count or "Dramatis Personae" list so I know what mini's or pawns I need to pull.

Are these "one-of's" getting the Foundry treatment moving forward?

Man, I just landed in "Epic Rap Battles of History!"

Time for a performance check:

Yo' ya' silly hag,
Your rhymes are weak,
ya' old nag.

Pathfinders 'll put ya' in blinders
Keep draggin' around that pot, ya' gonna get got
Knockin' over your soup, gonna throw ya' for a loop

Your magic? Its tragic.
Made a nothin' but weak sauce,
Meek sauce,
The only thing it does is reek sauce.

Night hag, Fright hag... Yeah right
Ya' got nothin', no drip,
just rags.

Pathfinder's bling? Ain't never gonna be yo' thing.
So stop tryin', and get to cryin'

So, I've only attended Paizo Con Virtually. I think the main thing would be decide what SWAG type convention stuff that Paizo wants to create for this event - a virtual ticket plus a participation good.

The next question, is while I like the idea of tying in physical stores that want to participate, it still seems like the things like the Multi-Table Specials are still going to be at least partially virtual.

One thing that is absolutely critical, and this was my biggest complaint with Gen Con this year, is the ability to sort for games by Virtual Table Top Platform. I prefer to game in Foundry, and finding the single table per timeslot required clicking on every single scheduled event... So yeah, it was a PITA for the like 170 Games of PF2 Org Play that was run this year & I hope that the process of finding a preferred VTT is facilitated.

The only other thing is whether there will be an Art Auctions or virtual "Meet and get Signings" from the content creators? Could be a fun thing to have the opportunity to donate for a signed copy of something during a panel, though it's likely not something I'd avail myself of.

So are we getting the Secrets of Magic and Guns & Gears Iconics any time soon?

Honestly, the reason that I only order physical product from Paizo is that it is not available elsewhere with free shipping. The 15% discount is not enough to justify the subscriptions, even though I'd love the PDF & Physical copies.

Currently, the best "Deal" for me is to wait for Paizo to release on Fantasy Grounds and get both the PDF & VTT assets in the same purchase. FLGS for my physical books.

Here's the advantage play: a bundled once a month loot drop with a player's subscriptions with free shipping and PDF's.

This would get me to subscribe to multiple product lines, but getting 4 boxes at $10-$15 shipping apiece seems like I'm giving up an additional rule book purchase, or at least a Flip Mat... Charge shipping for people who choose to not bundle into a monthly drop so they can get it "on release day".

The math isn't helped by the fact that there's a local online fulfilment warehouse that offers enough of a discount where the gallon of gas burnt to get there is still a savings.

I'm also disappointed with the choice to get rid of the Pawn lines, but it is what it is. I hope that there are digital assets that either allow for printing or just display at the table.

Living the dream would be app' functionality I've seen on TCG sites, where you can list a bunch of assets (card proxies), and the app builds you a sheet, and prints it out. If I could do that with pawns that would make me the happiest GM ever to be able to just put a bunch of monster assets on there that are pre-formatted to work over existing pawn pieces... And if it had import ready VTT art functionality *swoon*

That would be an app' worth a subscription, but I digress.

I hate to be a kill joy, but I've got to point out that the Winter Forest Map is likely one of the hardest physical flip mats to find in the wild at the moment. I went to the tenth page of Google, and couldn't find a single physical copy to be had.

Thank goodness the Paizo community outreach on Reddit indicated that it would be added to the "Classics" line-up in early 2023, along with the "Noble Estate" which is available at triple the cover price on Amazon the last I checked.

I just find it frustrating, because every Winter Scenario utilizes this map so there are now four Organized Play scenarios that use this one map.

The Starfinder "Ice World" map could be used as a substitute, though it may take some tinkering.
