I'd rather lose, I like story, I like roleplaying BUT, I am roleplaying as much as the DM is storytelling, so if my character dies in a fight, or to whatever (even a stupid failed save or die situation that i hate so much), I'd like the DM not to fudge it and let me die, same for the whole party.

We all died on the last boss of the adventure? Well tough s***, we had a good run and a lot of fun getting there but not all stories have a happy ending.

To me, if the DM fudges rolls to let us win, there's no point in playing.

technically by the rules, sure, xp and loot is split by party members, so it'd all go to you, but for the sake of the experiment, I assume it'd be best to basically act as if you were getting the stuff you would get from being in a 4-man party

i think the synthesist is very powerful, sure, i'd say it can do a lot more by himself than any other class, but solo an entire AP? you'd need a hell of a player, a nice DM and quite some luck, save or die is still a save or die


ring of feather falling is always a must for my characters, negating pretty much all falling damage for it's small price is just too good .
