Amazing guide! Funny thing, I'm actually the guy that posted on Reddit asking for Rogue/Psychic help, which led to the post from NoxAeternal! That really caught me by surprise, since what you came up with is essentially my ideal build, lol.

One question regarding that, though. You say to take Basic Thoughtform with the Rogue Class Feat at Level 4, and then Advanced Thoughform using the Free Archetype Feat at Level 4. But you can't take Advanced Thoughtform until Level 6, when you want to grab the Monk Dedication. How would one fix this?

Did some fiddling in Pathbuilder, and managed to get it working somewhat, though losing out on Opportune Backstab hurts! That also makes me wonder if Preparation isn't as useful for the 12th Level Rogue Feat. How's this look, if you don't mind my asking:

Hello all. Just recently I made a post on Reddit about a character for my group's next campaign. I received a ton of super-useful advice and input that really helped me out, but one build suggestion really spoke to me. Originally, I was struggling between a Rogue w/ Psychic FA and Rogue w/ Monk FA, with the idea that you should really only specialize into one (despite playing in a few PF2e games, I've not really gotten into the intricate side of building characters). But a suggestion really helped me marry those two ideas together into a build that's pretty good at what it does.

So I put together the build on Pathbuilder, levels 1 to 20, and while I think I did an alright job, sometimes it felt like I was just putting things in a slot because I had to. It mostly has everything I want (high emphasis on Face & Dexterity skills, the right Archetypes, etc.) but I'm not certain I've chosen the option that fits the build the best, or generally just picked the right ones at the right level. I was wondering if people here might be willing to lend a hand smoothing out the build now that the loose stuff is put into place. I don't want to look at it just as a level 20 build, since while it's likely our game will *eventually* get there, we're starting from the bottom, and having a lot of dead levels for just a few sessions of perfection is kinda out of order.

Anyways, I've got the build linked down below, as well as the post thread that contains the base build idea. Feel free to ask questions if it'll help, I really appreciate any and all assistance. Have a good one!

So, I've just joined up to a new PF2e campaign, and it's pretty awesome. We're setting it in a more mythological Ancient Greece, and of course, you can't have ancient Greek Mythology without a demigod! To that end, my GM and I started looking towards the Exemplar playtest, since it plays really nicely with that mythological hero concept. Heracles, Cú Chulainn, Gilgamesh and the like. However, since it is a playtest and there's not a lot of resources for building a character for this class, I hope that some of the folk here can lend a hand.

Currently, our DM is using Free Archetype, Gradual Boosts, and Ancestry Paragon. The first thing I'm trying to figure out would be Ancestry. Since it is Mythology-based Greece, we're allowing more fantastical races, but I still want to lean more towards Human, though some of the Versatile Heritages could work.

But I guess the most important part of the question would be building, well, the Exemplar part of things. I'm trying to build a frontline martial type, with the idea of this demigod coming from Ares, Athena, or potentially Zeus (since that dude got around). I'm not certain how good they'll be on defense; Exemplar only has Light Armor Prof, so having to build for Strength, Dex, Con, and hopefully a mental skill (this is a pretty rp heavy game so I don't want to just kill things) is not a cheap spread. Alongside that, the choice of weapon is pretty important; the idea of going Spear + Shield for that classic Hoplite setup w/ Noble Branch, but I feel like there's better choices. Then there's just the variety of Exemplar feat choices alongside Ikon & Epithet choices.

I'll take any help I can get, minor or major. Flavour is semi-important, but I also want this character to be good at what they do lol. So, thanks in advance, and I'm glad to answer any questions if people have them.
