In Dragon magazine issue 346 there is a new feat for Scouts called Acrobatic Skirmisher. This feat enables you to do more damage to an opponent by tumbling through the opponents space and make a skirmish attack.
Now, to the problem.
In the feats description it says that you have to avoid an attack of opportunity in able to use the benefit of this feat. the problem comes if you also have the feat spring attack. Because if you also have spring attack there is no attack of opportunity to avoid.
Can you still use both acrobatic skirmish and spring attack, in order to move both before and after your attack, simultaneous?
Spring Attack doesn't allow you to move through an opponent's space. It simply permits movement before & after your attack. The only way to move through an opponent's space is to tumble. When you attempt to tumble through an opponent's space, it provokes an attack of opportunity completely seperate from the attack provoked by exiting a threatened square.
I would think that you could still use Spring Attack, thus retaining the ability to move before & after your attack, but because your movement through the enemy's space still provokes an attack of opportunity, you would effectively lose one small benefit of Spring Attack.
