Pathfinder Starfinder Adventure Path, Starfinder Roleplaying Game Subscriber

I have a Starfinder adventure path subscription. I was supposed to get Issue #34 of Starfinder, but the package contained an issue of Pathfinder adventure path instead. Can I please have the Starfinder issue that I was supposed to receive? Thank you.

I would like to cancel my subscriptions to Pathfinder Lost Omens, Pathfinder Companion, and Pathfinder Adventure Path. Please let me know if you have any questions. Thank you.

This order was supposed to contain Starfinder, issue 34, but instead, I was sent Pathfinder, issue 161. I have sent emails to the customer service website asking for what I actually subscribed for, but have heard no response. Could someone please send me my issue of Starfinder? Thank you.

Fireball and magic missle are always good. Charm monster and dominate person can be useful too. It is hard to go wrong with Dimension door and teleport. There may be others, but those are the ones that come to mind immediately.

While a lot of attention has been poured on Starfinder lately, and deservedly, it's big sister still has a lot of life left in it. Here is my wishlist of 10 books I'd like to see Paizo announce for the Pathfinder RPG:

Advanced Character Guide - the next phase of background and archetype options

Bestiary 7 - natch (and don't stop there...)

Challenge Codex - puzzles, traps, skill challenges

Chronicles of the Righteous - the ying to the Book of the Damned's yang

Darklands Adventures - so much left to be explored

Legendary Adventures - blow open new fantasy worlds and scenarios that Golarion doesn't explore (was going to call this "Ultimate Fantasy," but think of the Google results - oh my!)

Nemesis Codex - boss battles and their minions! (an ancient dragon, a vampire lord, etc.)

Ultimate Arcana - alternate magic systems and guidelines for no-magic and low-magic campaigns

Ultimate Conflict - alternate combat systems and new ways to battle

Ultimate Technology - steam punk, diesel punk and more, plus Pathfinder versions of the Solarian, Technomancer, etc.

These are all good choices, but I would like to add an "Eras of Golarian" Hardcover to the list. Players can have campaigns set in Thassilon, The Age of Serpents, or whatever tickles their fancy. Most of Golarian's history is still lost/unknown, so time paradoxes should not be a problem. One can also tie in Epic Level gameplay and fix some of the broken archetypes that have cropped up over the years. (Some are explicitly based on ancient or incomplete history). The opportunities are endless.

The villain codex is still in my sidecart. Is it going to ship separately?

Due to the websites earlier refusal to let me update my payment information, the first transaction was declined last Thursday. (For whatever reason, the credit card expiration date kept resetting back to the old date). The problem seems to be solved now. When will you make another attempt to process the transaction? I would like to have this months subscription please.

The pre-printed label for the order was generated on August 14th when we charged your card and granted PDFs.

Currently there is a display issue in the Order History and My Subscription pages that displays the "shipping date" as the day your label was printed.

If you look at your email confirmation, you should see "A package containing 1 item from Paizo Order #2434034 is expected to ship from the Paizo warehouse by Friday, August 23 via Standard Postal Delivery..."

At this point, all the pre-printed label orders like yours have been packed and are ready to be picked up by our carrier on Monday morning. Tracking will then hopefully kick in by Wednesday or Thursday of next week. However, Mail Innovations (which is our standard shipping), does have a higher-than-usual frequency for missing scans of packages and the package will still be on its way even without tracking.

I apologize that your August subscription is taking longer than usual and we do plan to review our process to see if we can do better next year.

thanks
Sara Marie

I have the email up right now and it says that the item was about to ship from the warehouse that day. Note that this is not part of my regular subscription. It is a separate order. My monthly subscription has already arrived even though that email said it would ship on the 23rd. I have two separate orders for this month and I think you may have confused the two. I am still waiting for the copy of Mythic Adventures that I ordered.

On August 14, I received an email saying that my order of Pathfinder Mythic Adventures was about to ship. I still have not received it even though my August subscription did come ahead of schedule. The UPS tracking number is not recognized by the UPS website. It is very unusual for a delivery to take this long. Is it possible that there was a mix up with my order? (The Pathfinder Roleplaying game is not part of my normal subscription and was ordered separately). Any answers would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

On a separate note, there seems to be something wrong with your customer service call tree. When I tried to go to customer service, the call simply disconnected.

monk as a scout class? there are some problems with that

lack of decent class skills, they have half a list, but tis not sufficient for a proper skill monkey. not that they have enough skill points to use them all.

Does a scouting role require more than Acrobatics, Perception, and Stealth? It seems that the Monk can specialize in a stealth role.

lack of proper skill augmenting powers beyond extreme jumping distance. most of thier abilities are all defensive and combat oriented

lack of proper spellcasting, like the rogue, they are a 3/4 bab noncasting class, but like the rogue, they get a form of compensation called flurry. much like a rogue gets sneak attack.

That argues for using monks against soft targets like enemy rogues or spellcasters. Most of their class feature seem tailor made for mage killing. Stunning fist also would seem to work well against annoying rogues and ninjas. Flurry of blows is likely to annihilate most other support characters and casters very quickly. Also, while there are several magic items that can nullify a sneak attack, there are very few that can negate the stunning fist.
If all else fails, monks are quite good at grappling foes so that other party member can finish the job.

since the monk clearly doesn't have the skill points to be a proper scout or skill monkey, doesn't have the spells to be a caster, there is one last role. martial combatant, but they suck at that too.

I disagree.
I disagree. :)
somebody added a whole opposite point to my post. please stop misrepresenting me. i am not advocating using monks against soft targets. i advocate avoiding trying to use them. you don't need special magic items to nullify stunning fist, the easy fortitude save is close enough. may not be 2+ for an arcanist, but it's likely 7+ for an arcanist against a monk who doesn't specialize highly in the art of stunning.
That...

Sorry about that.

I noticed on one of the earlier posts that the monk class is a source of frustration since it is considered a combat class that struggles to keep pace with other combat classes. But the monks class skills and features seem more suited to a stealth/ support role similar to the rogue. The two classes seem designed for similar roles: namely scouting ahead, tumbling around to get at soft targets like enemy mages, and flanking alongside the frontline warriors. Many of the problems other players seem to be having stem from trying to used the monk as a front line warrior. This seems to be like trying to use the bard as a replacement for the party paladin.

I do not know why the monk is listed as a combat class, but perhaps it would play better if people, revised their assumptions and used the monk as support/stealth/support role.
