Thank you Orfamay, that was an insanely useful guide. I really gotta work on this whole getting rules wrong thing, its getting pretty annoying to screw things up.

I need some clarification on the use of the Magus' Spell Combat and Spellstrike abilities, specifically when they are used in concert. Me and my GM seem to be interrupting the rules differently and need some clarification. (more than likely I am wrong as that seems to happen with an alarmingly frequency)

The way I am reading the rules, When Combat and Strike are used together, you make your full attack and throw a prepared spell, as explained by Spell Combat, and then you make another attack at your full attack bonus while channeling a touch spell through your sword, as stated by Spellstrike, with the added penalties that Combat imposes on you. Basically full melee attack, plus an extra, and the two spells.

My GM is reading this as when they are used together the spell that is channeled through your sword with Spellstrike replaces the spell you can cast with Combat.

So as you can see, we are at impasse here. Personally I am not trying to cause any unrest with my group over this, I just want to make sure that I am playing my class correctly and haven't misinterpreted any rules. So if anyone can help settle this, would be greatly appreciated.

So I am letting a friend of mine play a vow of poverty monk out of the Book of Exalted Deeds, because we both think that the Pathfinder version of VoP is a fail.

We were talking over converting some of the Exalted feats to make them more Pathfinder friendly and this is what was come up with for Touch of Golden Ice.

Touch of Golden Ice conversion
Touch of Golden Ice affects only targets with an Evil alignment. Declare use of TGI before making the attack roll. If the attack successfully hits, the target takes 1d4+Charisma modifier Dexterity damage as it is ravaged by Golden Ice. TGI may only be used once per round.

A character receives a number of uses of TGI equal to one-quarter their total levels. Monks receive uses equal to their Monk class levels plus one-quarter of their character level in non-Monk classes.

Personally I think this is a pretty good conversion of it, but I am wondering what others might think. I know I need to work in some sort of save for the target creature but I am drawing a blank, so I would gladly welcome any advice people may have on this.

I am currently working on building up a world to run a Pathfinder game in, and in an effort to make it more fun for both me and my friends who will be running amok in it, I am trying my hand at making magic items and artifacts for them to find.

I had an idea for on based off Nero's devil arm from Devil May Cry 4 and was hoping that some people here could give me some advice on stating it out.

What little I have in mind for it right now is giving it reach, was thinking 10 or 15 feet and with that a trip attack and maybe a bonus when attempting grapples.

Don't have much for it yet so if anyone could offer me some advice on this I would really appreciate the help.

Thanks
